Simms looks shaky

Chris Simms is finally getting some 11-on-11 work this afternnon, but it's not much: he's taking a series of reps with the scout-team offense.

It's been a real mixure so far. He's thrown a couple nice balls on shorter passes, but his two deep balls were horrific to watch as they fluttered downfield.

It's been a long time since he's gotten reps against a full, live defense. Whether that's progress or not,  given the results, well maybe it depends on your perspective.

Stephen,

What happened to the Rhonde Barber inquiry about his dog fight comments? This is important. Follow up. We need to shut up the chihuahua/dog fight poster!

Yeah, shut that COWARD up. I love my chihuahua, and it's very upsetting when he's being mean to me.

Simms looked shaky at UT and he still was first string. Thankfully Gruden has a little more sense.

PS- whats with all the dog fighting posts? Did I miss something?

Major, why don't you try out? That way when Simms gets us in a big hole early, you can come in and bail us out just like at Texas.

I have a friend in Allen's office and he says they were asked to review Simms contract on Monday. Definitely on the way out. It's too bad he's a great guy.

Great point 4:54. I still remember the great bowl game he had when they benched simms. After the game the whole squad went to stephen's house for a dog fight.

Take it easy on Chris. Simms was our only hope last year. Sure we were 0-4 when he went down, but Chris is a closer. You saw how he finished '05. The Bucs furious finish and attack on the NFC South reminded me of a ravenous pit bull.

pit bulls cause more injuries per year than cars. this is not funny. YOU COWARD.

Maybe it was actually a pit bull attack that harmed Simms spleen and not a defender than? How bout some investigative journalism to get to the bottom of it?

Moderators:

This person [Keith], I write person with trepidation b/c anyone who thinks pit-bull attacks are funny is almost sub-human, needs to have his posts removed. This is ridiculous.

"Whether that's progress or not, given the results, well maybe it depends on your perspective."

Stephen, I dont even understand the above statement. I guess its not a top-notch journalism school at Devry Institute.

I missed it. When did Keith say pit bull attacks were funny?

No wonder Chris doesnt look good. He's playing with the Scout Team Offense!!! He is a top caliber NFL starting QB. Thats like pairing a filet mignon with macaroni & cheese and kool aid. Obviously something won't look right, it's not Simms fault he has to work his way back to the top with the left-overs on the scout team.

Simms with the scout team sounds more like peanut butter with jelly or peas with carrots or mike vick with dog fighting err......I mean ron mexico.....errrr

Does Stephen Holder really have a Chihuahua?

We both do.

Curious in Tampa?

These arent the personal ads fellas. If you are going to search for a soulmate, I would suggest getting a chihuahua they are very cute and easy to confide in

Congratulations to those of you posting. I think you have set a record for # of posts on the bucs blog.

At this paper we accept people from any background: whether they are black or white, gay or straight.
