Bucs coaches assistant arrested

TAMPA -- Charles Dwayne Stukes, a coaches assistant with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was arrested late Thursday night on DUI charges.

Tampa police arrested Stukes, 30, a former NFL defensive back, about 11:30 p.m. near Armenia Avenue S and Cleveland Street W. He refused to take a breathalizer, according to jail records.

He was released on bail about 8 a.m. today.

Stukes spent parts of four seasons with the Buccaneers, Atlanta Falcons and Pittsburgh Steelers from 2000 to 2003.

Stukes has been with the Buccaneers for two seasons. His primary job is supporting special teams coordinator Richard Bisaccia.

A call to the Bucs seeking comment was not immediately returned.

WOW the Tampa Police Department is on a roll!

Yep, but the "war" on has not made our roads a bit safer. It has done little more than bully the populace with random roadblocks and near-random arrests,life-destroying penalties and undemocratic "zero tolerance"policies!!

And yet the tyrants behind this "war" on privacy are not satisified. They long for harsher penalties still. Sad the undemocratic habits of mind that we have adopted!

It's good to see more arrests! Now, identify and arrest the illegal pill-poppers!

FUK U B1TCH3S!!!!!!!!!! @$$

Poor jack, what a sore loser. All of these "mentors" being arrested on such charges, SHOULD be brought to public light. To hell wtih the ones who want to keep their secret "hush hush".. Bring them ALL out. All public figures who pass judement on us, should face that same judgement.

Melissa is exactly right. DUI is about money and NOT saving lives. It's become an absolute cash cow for Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties and it's essentially spawned its own cottage industry.

The Bucs should start suspending players and coaches who don't have a DUI.
