Byner moves on; search continues for RBs coach

Never did update everyone on the Earnest Byner buzz.

The Bucs interviewed the Redskins running backs coach last week for the same position here in Tampa. But now, word is Byner has opted to stay on in Washington.

It's not clear whether the Bucs offered Byner the position, but either way, they still must find a running backs coach to fill their final position-coach opening.

pansioncar

what about the assistant defensive backs coach?

John S.

Anyone think the Bucs might be dragging their feet to see if Lane Kiffin becomes available? Maybe offer him a RB Coach/Assistant Coach position. He'd probably enjoy working with his Dad, and would be a great pick-up. Curious to see how the Raiders situation plays out.

Stephen Holder

Pansioncar @11:49: the assistant DBs coach is still vacant. I was just referring to actual position coaches. I should have been more specific. Thanks

Mike

Lane is not coming. He will be the head coach of Oakland next year.

John S.

Now that Fassel's out of the running for the Skins job, think he'd be a candidate?
