Gay another cornerback candidate
We've learned New England cornerback Randall Gay is scheduled to arrive in Tampa on Monday for a visit with the Bucs, assuming the Saints let him leave town without a deal on Saturday.
Gay started three games for New England last season but was used often as a nickelback. The four-year veteran from LSU also registered three interceptions.
The Bucs are one of several teams considering adding Gay because of the thin group of free agent cornerbacks, so we're told it's expected that he won't rush a decision. As a result, it's likely Gay will make it to Tampa and get a chance to meet with the coaching staff and front office before signing a deal elsewhere.
As it stands, the Bucs are known to be considering two other cornerbacks: San Diego's Drayton Florence, who is in town for a visit, and Jacques Reeves of the Cowboys. Reeves was visiting the Texans today and may make several other visits.

please get florence we need a big corner, i think he would do fine in nickel spot

Lets get a comment in NO over the phone,I say6to 10 million per year. With a signing bonus with first 3 year don't have to worried about being cut. How about a 5 to 7 years. Go Bucs

i think that this would be a nice pickup. 4 picks isnt bad for starting 3 games. and we have our 2 starting corners pretty much set this year with buchanon and barber, and he might step into the spot barber leaves when he retires. not very likely because we will prolly draft a corner in one of the first few rounds this year or next year, but it can still happen.

Get Gay and his fellow Patriot over here. I just heard Moss and the Pats are way off on a deal, Bruce Allen better start chatting it up with Moss. Also I here that we have now scheduled a visit with LB Lance Briggs

did you say buchanon starting? there goes our #2 ranking if that's your lineup. did you see him get thrashed against houston last year? they just picked on him like he was in college. he plays ten yards back because he can't be physical. thank god you are not the DC because we would suck if you were. sign BK back (since we have all this money) and bring in some other talent to boot (like Gay.) don't rely on buchanon or smith (who is actually a better cover corner than buchanon.)
