Meet Dexter Jackson

Jackson_2 Receiver Appalachian State 5-9, 182

Highlights/stats

Made the cover of Sports Illustrated after helping Appalachian State upset Michigan 34-32 last season. … Had three catches for 92 yards and two touchdowns, including a 68-yarder, against the Wolverines. … Finished his career with 3,415 all-purpose yards, averaging nearly 14 yards every time he touched the ball.

THE VERDICT

Look at it this way: The last Bucs player named Dexter Jackson was their only Super Bowl MVP. "That's wild," the newest Jackson said. Jackson compares somewhat favorably with Cal's DeSean Jackson, who went nine picks earlier (at No. 49) to Philadelphia. He will pay immediate dividends as a kick returner and eventually will be used as a slot receiver. His 4.35 speed in the 40-yard dash is what the Bucs sought.

Bad news for Mark Jones I guess. Didn't Jerry Rice come from App State?

DEXTER JACKSON OVER CALDWELL, SWEED, BROHM WHATS GOING ON I HOPE HE IS WHAT WE HOPE HEIS

Dexter Jackson was a good pickup for the bucs. A very exciting playmaker and also a standout on the track team at App St. I was absolutely thrilled when the bucs made this pick. Dexter, welcome to Tampa.

I believe Rice graduated from Mississippi Valley State.

Rice did in fact graduate fro Mississippi Valley State.

Dexter Jackson....Well Speed Kills. Clearly the Bucs were looking for a Galloway Clone and got him.

Also, Strahan came from TSU and Good old may he rest in peace Walter Payton came from Jackson State. Both are small schools. Hey Dexter, this is guy is pulling for you.

How do we really know Dexter Jackson is what some people think he is...a threat all over the field? Brohm would have went #1 last year! Is their anything else to say? Yes Allen and Gruden most know something.
