More rookie camp prospects

Among the rookie camp prospects the Bucs will take a look at this weekend is a player Florida State fans Bradwell will be familiar with: Troy defensive tackle Chris Bradwell. Bradwell (left) was dismissed from FSU in 2005 after a marijuana arrest but finished his career at Troy, where he registered four sacks and eight tackles for loss in 2007.

He'll be joined by Troy teammate Elbert Mack, a cornerback who played opposite Leodis McKelvin, drafted 11th overall by the Bills. Mack took advantage of the opportunities that resulted from McKelvin's presence, snatching eight interceptions last season, tied for most in the nation.

Another prospect who will be in the rookie camp is Boston College tight end Jon Loyte, who was primarily a blocker but caught 13 passes for 135 yards.

why no receivers?
You ould think we'd at least try out a half dozen more free agent receivers, considering that is probably the greatest area of need.

WHY do we keep bringing in these "projects" with SERIOUS character issues?

Thug: that's because most of the projects WITHOUT character issues get drafted. Or maybe because Gruden and Co. like a challenge? Who knows?

A marijuana arrest is a SERIOUS character issue??? I guess Thug thinks putting an extra creamer in his coffee is pushing the envelope.

hey Lance the Pinhead --- before you bump your gums why don't you mix in a clue first

time to educate the pinhead ... here's this choir boys rap sheet
-a year-long suspension after a burglary arrest just after arriving at Troy
-a marijuana arrest at Florida State
-investigations of fraudulent use of a credit card while also at FSU.
-charged with obstructing a firefighter in 2003, a felony, but pleaded no contest to a reduced charge of disorderly conduct.

yeah, he's a real saint

TOOL

In case anyone hasn't noticed, the vast majority of guys who come through the front door of the Bucs office are squeaky clean.

Football players have never been above the law, but way back in the day they were treated as such. Rapes, burglaries and other violence were handled a lot differently - if you happened to be the star quarterback doing it. However, in our current age of blogs and extreme amounts of media - pandering to cover anything - it's just not possible to cover things up. So things look worse, and now players collectively are made to look like villains. Truth is though, crime rates among atheletes are probably no different than general society. They just make easier targets.

How about we bring in Darius Reynaud from West virginia. hes a wr who didnt get drafted and did pretty good in college. then also for the d-line, why not bring in Eric Foster from Rutgers, he was pretty solid for them up front and he went undrafted. I think they both have what it takes to have good careers especially since neither were drafted and have some fire under them to prove everyone it was a mistake not to draft them.

I think that if some college football players was missed by the other 31 teams. And if Tampa can find a find or two from this weekend talent pool of potiental players then welcome everyone. This may be the only time some of these players will play pro football. But I think if our team can make up its mind on who is the Top 4 QB then go ahead.

I will be there this weekend .. with that cast of characters Bruce and jon have brought in (again) there's no better setting to film the sequel of The Longest Yard

Don't you guys know that the top 10 draft picks are all saints? They've never even cheated on any exams in school... ever!

Hey Thug, do you always call people names when you get mad? Did your mommy ground this week?

Grow up man.

What are you babbling about Joe D?
Is that D short for DIPSH!T?

I got plenty of love from YO MOMMA, but thanks for axin!

Tell me how many people leaving comments on this page have not made multiple mistakes?.... None of you because we all make them. So stop being so judgemental of people and give them a chance. Because what you need to remember is that these are COLLEGE KIDS. What were you doing when you were in college or of college age? Their is a process to growing up and learning from your past mistakes. I commend the Bucs for giving undrafted players a CHANCE to grow and develop into players with character as you call it. Sometimes these are the best players outside of the NFL DRAFT bunch because they show the most appreciation for the opportunities given. Big ups to the Undrafted Free Agents of 2008! Lets go Buc!

Your mean to tell me I was given the last comment of this Tampa Bay Bucs Commentary? Go Bucs!!
