Schedule to be released Tuesday
Because we know you can't wait, just wanted to share that the Bucs are telling us the regular-season schedule will be released on Tuesday.
We'll pass it along as soon as we get our hands on it.
I'll be curious to see whether the Bucs have any primetime, national TV appearances other than the NFL Network game against the Patriots on tap for the preseason. Games against the Chargers, Cowboys or Seahawks would appear to be the most attractive to the networks. A home game against the Vikings might be appealing, too, given Adrian Peterson's popularity.
The Bucs didn't have a national television game last season (with the exception of the wild card game) but are expected to get serious consideration this season after winning the division crown in 2007.

the bucs deserve prime time seeing as they didn't get one game in the lights last year except in the playoffs and i hope none of the bucs reg season games are on NFL network I don't understand why the NFL wants to put games on that network seeing as more than half the country doesn't have the channel for it

I expect my newspaper to use real words in their headlines. At the very least, an appropriate abbreviation would suffice.
"Sked"? Come on St. Pete Times, you are better than that. And so are your readers.

Come on Alex...you're nitpicking here. This is the sports section and you're all worked up about semantics in the headline. I have to go. It's time for a spot of tea.

CW, you seem to be able to put together complete sentences. You should work for the Times.
