Former Buc sentenced to five years for robbery
Former Bucs and UCF wide receiver Charles Lee, accused of robbing a UCF student at gunpoint, will spend the next five years in prison after pleading guilty to robbery on Thursday, according to WFTV Channel 9 in Orlando.
Lee was arrested December 5, 2007, a week after he held up two students at Pegasus Landing, an off-campus student housing complex near UCF. Lee stole more than $11,000 in cash from his victims at gunpoint.

He was a decent receiver never given a good chance, in prison he will get his chance at being a number #1 receiver once he meets "bubba"

Charles Lee is like 6'2'' and 220 pounds. He's more likely to be Bubba than have to worry about Bubba

Anyone else wondering why the guys he robbed had $11,000 in cash on them? Personally, I never carry more than $1,000 at a time.

All I want to know is how these students had $11,000 on them. When I was a student, I was lucky if I had a couple of G's in my bank account.

There's a whole lot of guys bigger then lee. He can differently be a WIDE receiver in prison.

I can only assume this is gruden's fault.

Nah, not Gruden's fault.
Though it wouldn't surprise me if some of his cult following makes a crack about Saint Tony visiting him in prison, since it seems to be chic to bash the guy's faith since his record stands for itself.

This is the problem with many athletes-they are coddled and given breaks all through HS and college, and then the NFL. Once they are out, and have to stand on their own, they are lost and broke and revert to what they know. It is a shame no one teaches them another profession and/or life skills along the way because but for the few who bank millions $ on big contracts, this happens to many.

If Charles Lee just worked harder he would have never had to even think about robbing a couple of college students. He has talent on the football field. He stepped up nicely after Keyshawn was deactivated. It's unfortunate he didnt take full advantage of the opportunity the Bucs gave him.

Did he rob drug dealers? What the heck are 2 students doing with 11k?

Yes Tony Dungy is God, Gruden Sucks! Steve Dumeg told me so, the radio never lies! Gruden has never had success or built a team or taken a team to a championship, its all an illusion. Tony never lost playoff games (It was all Gruden's fault all the way from Oakland) or drafted problem guys, Steve Dumeg told me! Jon Gruden's team never blew Tony Dungy's team out 45-0 in Oakland it was an illuesion! Groooaaannn Zombie bandwagon bucs fan must have more negative Gruden comments to live, feed me feed me!

maybe lee vick and o.j. can end up on the team. that would be one hell of an offense

Sad. Of course, now that he's a felon, Lee really is Gruden's kind of football player.

WOW. When i was a studnet at college I never had $11,000 in cash to steal. What kind of "students" were they. Doesn't anybody ask any questions anymore. I was lucky if I had more than a $100 bucks at a time. Nice post Justin M. You nailed it.

A former UCF player is in trouble? According to all the UCF honks, every player that every played/will play for their team is either a Rhodes scholar, or an Endocrinology major. He sounds like a real rotten apple and he knew these kids were carrying. I would investigate what is going on at that student housing complex because "birds that flock together…”
