Garcia's back, Galloway's not
Quarterback Jeff Garcia is here at Disney for his first day of training camp after missing two days because of a family engagement.
Garcia seems determined to expend all the pent-up energy he has judging by the bounce in his step.
Meanwhile, receiver Joey Galloway looks like he'll miss his third straight day as he continues to be bothered by a groin strain, one described by the team as minor.
The Bucs are in pads today for the first time, which means there likely will be plenty of action throughout the morning. Stay tuned for further updates all day.

I wish Galloway had graced us with his presence, but Stovall and Clayton both shined bright in early morning workouts this weekend. Our receivers looked very good overall scoring on some big plays against the 1's.

Also, I wish I had seen Garcia this weekend, but Greise and McCown looked exceptional. We should have a really solid stable of QB's this year. The running game will be stoudt which should help anyone under center (even Favre.)

We don't need another aged veteran, even if Favre did pass for 4,500 yards last season. If Gruden wants a has been QB, then the Bucs should fly to Montana and coax Plummer out of retired life. I agree with Kurt, if no Garcia go with Greise or McCown.

The thing I hate, is that every year when an old QB retires, Gruden will be there kickin' the tires. How does any QB ever become comfortable here with Gruden coaching? Your job is NEVER safe, and why would a young QB want to go thru that every year? Next year, McNabb, then Brees, Mannings(pl), Brady, will it ever end?

No job is ever safe. It's called competition. best motivator ever. If you are not willing to fight for what you perceive is yours, then move on. Bravo garcia.

I agree db safety breeds complacence...

How are we supposed to develop a young QB(McCown) when EVERY year Gruden brings in the latest retiree? Young QB's take time to develop. I can't see the Bucs having a long-term starter with Gruden at the helm.
