McCown cuts McCown
It's a few weeks before NFL players worry about getting the axe.
Unless you're Dolphins quarterback Josh McCown. According to reports, McCown needed six stitches in his index finger of his throwing hand recently when his brother Luke accidentally cut Josh's finger instead of firewood.
Luke McCown is competing with Brian Griese for the Bucs' No. 2 quarterback job. Josh McCown is the Dolphins most experienced quarterback heading into camp and is competing with John Beck and rookie Chad Henne.

I've checked and there's no news on the Garcia contract front. Nothing is bound to happen there before training camp. Maybe there will be some movement before the regular season starts. Few rookies to deal with. And QBs, of course. Favre and Simms, etc.

Who was the QB that the Bucs picked up in the 5th rd when they already had a bunch of QBs? Was it not Josh Johnson? Kanye, before making such a bold assertion, LOOK AT THE ROSTER FIRST!!!

Remember how Garcia failed down the stretch last season? Why give Garcia anything? Does he not have incentives in his contract? Griese will pan out to be a much better QB than Garcia.

Too bad it wasn't a Bucs QB that Luke cut with the axe, then the headline could have read, "Luke McCown Cutting Down Competition" or "McCown Slicing Competition"... oh well... he's our best bet to be QB of the future, Garcia wore down last season and is not a longterm solution by any means... McCown will be the starter at some point this season and should be a CUT above the rest.

If you think Griese is better than Garcia, you sound like you may have been hit not by an axe, but at least a Billie Club! No contract talk for Garcia is writing on the wall that Favre may be in waiting?
