Rookie QB Johnson signs; Talib next
The Bucs signed quarterback Josh Johnson, their fifth-round pick from San Diego, to a four-year deal. He is headed from Tampa to the Celebration Hotel.
It also appears the contract for first-round pick Aqib Talib is in the finalizing stage.
That leaves the only receiver Dexter Jackson, a second-round pick from Appalachian State, who remains unsigned.
Johnson is one of five quarterbacks in Bucs camp, a list that includes Jeff Garcia, Brian Griese, Luke McCown and Chris Simms.
Simms arrived Friday afternoon at the Celebration Hotel but was unavailable for comment.
Johnson threw 43 touchdowns and just one interception last season for San Diego.

Allen always seems to sign his first rounder right in the nick of time, so the guy doesn't have to miss any practice. Didn't Caddy sign his contract in the wee hours of the night before the first workout?
