Zuttah agrees to terms
Third-round pick Jeremy Zuttah has reached an agreement in principle on what is expected to be a four-year contract, according to his agent, Noel LaMontagne.
The offensive lineman and former Rutgers star would become the fourth member of the Bucs' seven-man draft class to sign his deal.
The terms of Zuttah's deal aren't yet known, but more details should emerge tomorrow, when the player is expected to sign the documents.

First it was receiving my Buccaneers Season Tickets and now some actual Buccaneers' "news"? Damn, a Rays win would certainly be the icing on the best Tuesday a Tampa fan could have in late July...

Zuttah is going to be an intimidating, dominator!

There's something fishy going on with Garcia. I mean, he's excused to miss training camp to attend a reunion of 1973 Gavilan College????? Are you kidding? He's the starting QB!!
There's something going on.....

Amen re: Garcia..What kind of lame excuse is that for a guy who wants to "lead this team to a Super Bowl"...I am sure the tool DR will have some ridiculous Cowboys' slant on this, but it is very strange. Maybe with the Vikings out because of the tampering charge---pressed by the Packers to keep Favre out of the division---there is something brewing with the Bucs. Gruden loves the veteran QB, the Garcia situation has become sticky, and Farve is from Mississippi and his wife has said she hates the Green bay cold, so the family could stay south or be closer. Obviously it is all conjecture but everyone is geeting buc's fever...

Tool? HAHA! I'd agree that he lacks leadership if his college is the reason he will miss camp and Gruden is a moron for allowing him to go, but I think its a mutual decision by both sides. Garcia is unhappy with his contract and the Bucs feel they can do better if they pick up Favre. They're actively shopping him around. Something ain't right.

Conspiracy theories, shenanigans, false promises, and lies. I thought football was a sport? Is anyone here a fan of the sport or is the politics and business of football that interests you?
*gossip* I heard that he wets the bed still.....WHO CARES!
If anyone wants to pitch in some comments about the game, the players, or the team ability to perform, I'd be more inclined to care.
Yeah, football is a business, but that's not why I watch it or go to the games. Relax everybody, they'll be playing soon and we can start breaking out the beer and jerseys.

Do you really wait for football season to break out the beer? I have enough trouble waiting for noon.
Posted by: CW | July 23, 2008 at 01:15 PM
LOL CW. Yeah, who waits for football to break out the beer? I agree Donovan, ESPN has turned into TMZ. WHo cares what Shaq rapped about at a aclub. He sucks at rapping. Worst part is I keep hearing interviews with Rays players and they're trying to coax them into saying something controversial about the ownership and their team. They're a well coached team and true professionals. Its unfortunate their stadium is 3 hours away from Tampa.
Posted by: DR | July 23, 2008 at 01:34 PM
yeah so lets move the stadium to Tampa so all of us fans that live in pinellas county have to drive that far to see the Rays,if we do it for Bucs games you can do it for the rays so why dont we just keep the driving side of thing even and not one sided,we pay the same gas prices you do.

We should be talking about Zuttah, Mel Kiper's highest rated player at the time we drafted him. Versatile and nimble for a big man, this kid probably will be vying for a starting spot, maybe sooner than we think. He may be our HOF left tackle we've been looking for...hiccup...ooops sorry, I think I drank a bit too much buc-aid there. Anyway, our O-line is finally a strength. I have been a buc fan since the beginning and this is the best O-line we've ever had, and they're all young! Go Bucs!!!

Kurt, we'll be sharing more about Zuttah and other newbies as camp gets underway, but I had a conversation with this kid the other day and he reminded me that he had the fastest time among offensive lineman at the Combine (4.99 seconds I think). That doesn't seem all that impressive, I know, but it speaks to his athleticism and versatility. By the way, Dre Moore ran even faster, a little over 4.8 seconds!

Thanks Stephen. I hope Dre can be 1/2 the tackle Sapp was and we'll be all-right there too.

hey kurt don't forget a very interesting fact about Zuttah he hasn't given up a sack at the college level since 2005
