Bryant sat out with sore knee

Many were asking during Saturday night's game about the whereabouts of receiver Antonio Bryant.

He happened to be on the sidelines in street clothes, missing the game after having fluid drained from his sore knee with a particularly long needle, he said.

Bryant said the fluid had been accumulating in recent weeks, resulting in frequent soreness that caused him to miss several days of training camp. With the fluid now drained, doctors told him to stay off the knee for a bit to expedite the healing process.

There's a decent chance he could play Thursday in Houston as this doesn't appear to be a long-term issue.

No one else got this story. Glad there's one sports reporter in Tampa.

Carmineb37

yes, thanks.
we were there last night, and I was wondering why he wasn't playng.
thought they held him since he has looked by far, the best receiver to play so far.

That Brian Clark kid looked decent last night as well, making plays after the catch

Ben

Anyone see DeSean take that punt back against the Pats. This kid is looking like a stud. I think we may have picked the wrong Jackson...

George L Hicks

I hope he will be ok. But the coaching staff got a chance to evaluate these others widereceivers, and I believe that the wide receivers corp. some of these guys will be gone by Friday night.

Brandon

Ben;

It's preseason, none of this counts and doesn't necessarily translate its success intot he regular season.

Jon Kitna is well-known for being a near perfect passer during the preseason, and I think we can all agree that he is far from perfect... or even good.

Nick

Lets say a little prayer Antonio, his knee's, Micheal Clayton, Maurice, the Clark Boys, Don Penn, Paris Warren, the white paper tiger and the rest of the Bucs & Chris Sim....
....Except Jeff Garcia, Ike too old too slow over the hill(ard) and those to waste of acouple draft picks Johnso & Dexter Jackson they can go play for Atlanta if they want to really help the Bucs. Also have the wizard of OZ give Gruden & Allen a Brain, even just one to share between the two of them.
Ps I hope Brett Farve dies Of Gonnaharia n burns in Hell!
