Garcia, Haye to miss at least several days
This has been the quietest day of camp yet, with the Bucs conducting only an afternoon special teams practice involving mostly reserves.
But there was a bit of news when coach Jon Gruden afterward updated injuries to Jeff Garcia and Jovan Haye, saying both will miss at least several days. Whether either plays in next week's preseason opener in
Miami on August 9 remains to be seen, though Haye seems unlikely to play at this point.
Regardless, Gruden did not seem preoccupied with worry about either injury, a sign the Bucs believe the injuries won't linger.
The Bucs are scheduled to practice once on Saturday, with players getting the afternoon off for Family Day.

PHEW! I was more worried about Haye because of the severity of the injury. He's the best under tackle we've had here since #99 left town.
I'm happy there hasn't been much talk about Favre coming to Tampa today.

I'm with you on that one Tom. Certainly a more devastating loss considering the unproven depth at that critical position.

Yes Tom, no Favre news is good news, sick of hearing about him.
Don't need him don't want him!!

Get real everyone Garcia is an ok QB, but he can't win a SB. Favre can.

Tom, Favre can? Really? He hasn't won one in how long? He has killed the Packers in the playoffs, by himself. He's so great that the Packers can't even get any value for him. How often do you see a HOFer getting offered not to play? You don't want Favre in Tampa. Chad Johnson or Aquon Boldin would help Tampa more than Favre would.

DR, I see your point about Favre but I can't help but to disagree with you about Chad Johnson or Boldin. Either one of them will never be worth what we would have to give up to get them, in this system. Yes, they are great players but I don't think we have a great QB to get them the ball. It all starts up front with pass protection and on paper, we should be better than last year in that department.
Before we get ahead of ourselves, lets see what kind of product we will have this year. Galloway will be a force, as will Stovall in the red zone. I have faith in Bryant but realistically we will have to get good production out of Clayton but then again, that's an oxymoron. Hilliard will dominate third downs again but teams read that by the end of the year.
My point is, I'd rather see what we have this year before we give up a two 1st rounders...that was the same formula to get Gruden and you se how that worked out after the SB...

I'm sorry, didn't Garcia make the pro bowl last year and he is just ok? Brad Johnson won a sb and he doesnt have the arm strength of a Favre. Garcia fits this system like a glove. If the receivers step up, he will have an even better year.
