Bears fined in Sunday fallout

Bears CB Charles Tillman was fined $5,000 by the NFL for his role in the overtime scuffle with the Bucs on Sunday that resulted in his game-altering unnecessary roughness penalty. Tillman told the Chicago Tribune he would appeal the fine.

Also, Jamar Williams was fined $7,500 for taunting.

Don't think the Bucs are going to get off without repercussions. It's very possible several players could be subject to fines considering all the extracurricular stuff coming from both teams in the Bucs' overtime victory.

We'll update you when we have the details.

It's a small price to pay for respect.
I am NOT condoning dirty play or penalties. I am DEFINITELY not suggesting instigating same said activities. I am justifying standing up for one's self, team mates and organization! Trueblood appears to be leading a revolt against putting up with bullies and their B.S. They have my support as long as it stays within the parameters of the rules of the game.

The suspension has to do with the fact that he got an unnecessary roughness penalty called against him. The 15 yard penalty usually comes with a fine.

I agree that it's unfortunate that it had to come to blows, but good to see our players sticking up for one another. Maybe the fines will be worth it from a team chemistry aspect.

i hear roy williams might be available he would look damn good in a bucs jersey

Roy Williams? No thank you. He couldn't cover a wall with paint much less a Cover 2 zone.

That's good. It proved that the referees saw what really happened despite all the trash talks by the bears last few days. Also, Michael Clayton needs to grow up and shut his mouth. There's no need to brag about how he taunted Tillman. Mike, we're proud of you but shut up for your own good.

James, I agree with your assessment of the Cowboys Roy Williams, but bobby is talking about the Lions Roy Williams. He would be a nice addition.

yeah i was talkin about the lions roy williams the cowboys roy is a waste
