Bucs working out kicking prospects

The Bucs appear to be holding a workout of place kicking prospects here at One Buc Place, though we're unsure at the moment the identity of the three kickers involved.

It's not a total surprise that the Bucs would be considering a move at kicker after Matt Bryant's inconsistent preseason. Bryant missed three attempts from inside 40 yards, including a 23-yarder.

We'll keep you posted on any further developments.

Mr. Charles Manson

It is imperative that we replace Matt Bryant. His confidence is completely shot. We cannot go into the opener with him.

Taylor

John Vaughn, perhaps? Has had two solid preseasons for the Titans and performed well at Orlando in the AFL...

Jay

I'd actually be concerned more about his kickoffs. Out of a total of 207 - he's had 15 touchbacks his entire career with the Bucs. So that means that 92% of the time, special teams is giving up unnecessary yardage. That's huge.

Charlie Brown

I'm available but you can't have Lucy as the holder.

Don

Jay Feely?

Frank Cabano

Jay Feely hopefully...perfect fit as he is from Tampa and more importantly, a great kicker!!!

Turk

Feely had one heck of a 2007 didn't he. I guess he opened his mouth a little too much.

Thanks again for doing some actual reporting around here Stephen. With all of the fluff pieces and manufactured drama that seems to incessantly spew forth from your colleagues, it's refreshing to read a sports reporter who actually does their job. Keep it up.

Fugilebrity

I understand Toni Fritsch, Garo Yepremiam and Tom Dempsey are available.

Adam

SETH MARLER... get on the phone to the Tampa Bay Storm, you knuckleheads.

Feely!

Lucy

But Charlie, I promise THIS TIME I won't move the ball, I really mean it.

Trust me.
