Galloway, Askew likely out

The Bucs are likely to line up without WR Joey Galloway for the second week in a row, with coach Jon Gruden admitting today the veteran is a long shot to play against the Packers on Sunday.

Galloway missed last week's game at Chicago, too, with a foot sprain.

Also, FB B.J. Askew (hamstring) appears unlikely to play this week. In fact, the Bucs are concerned about the injury lingering for a while. They have not moved to acquire another fullback but expect to see Byron Storer on Sunday.

The prognosis on G Davin Joseph is a bit trickier. He returned to practice on Wednesday for the first time since breaking his foot last month. But after testing it during that workout, Joseph was more limited in practice the following day, seemingly having a setback.

As of now, Gruden hasn't said whether Joseph is a go or not, but he certainly seems to have doubts.

"He's on the way to recovery," Gruden said of Joseph. "I don't know that he's totally there yet. . . Right now, his status is still up in the air."

Galloway hurt his paw and can't play, who cares...

Let Davin rest a week or two more! Don't rush him back. We'll need him late in the season. They're going to miss Askew.

Galloway is too fragile to keep playing in the NFL

I hope this opens the door for Bennett. Michael can contribute in a variety of ways...if afforded the opportunity.

Stephen,

Has Bennett ever returned punts / kickoffs? Clayton did a pretty good job last week, but Gruden already stated he didn't want him for the job.

Stephen, you love bringing us bad news don't you?

If there is a place to use Bennett, like kick returns, I think we will have a great extra weapon on our hands. And the chances of Galloway being anything near what he was last year seems very unrealistic. Let him sit for a while. GO BRYANT!! Both of them!!

Hey...does anyone know if Aqib Talib is good to go this week? I don't remember hearing if he was ready to play or not?

Galloway got a brain freeze from a spoonfull of Cherry Garcia and can't play... again.

Word on the grapevine (ok, on another buc board) is Galloway isn't happy about the Garcia benching, and so Al Davis, errr, I mean Jon Gruden is going to show him too, by benching him as well.

any truth to this, SH?

Most idiotic shite I have ever heard, you guys should all read the Enquirer. Except DR, who reads Raunchy Rodeo Boys #3....

Aquib Talib practiced fully.

Galloway is out... sprained ovary.

Screw Galloway. At least Clayton hustles on his way to dropping the ball. And he blocks, too. He had a huge game last week, though, mostly for his own confidence. Let's hope he can build on it.

And Bryant is getting back into his groove. A lot has been said about Griese, but Bryant made two huge catches on those last two drives. He'll be a game changer, just give him time and hope he doesn't go all Torrie Cox on us.

This game is big. They need Davin. Hope he can go.

hardhat, go ahead, throw your hat up, and start singing, "Y, M, C, A!" you fruit cake
