Joseph will play Sunday
Guard Davin Joseph returned to practice Wednesday in a full-time capacity for the first time since suffering a broken foot Aug. 17.
Coach Jon Gruden said that Joseph will be available to play in some capacity against the Green Bay Packers Sunday. "His role in this game will be decided later in the week,'' Gruden said.
"We've been cautious. He wouldn't be out there practicing, preparing to play this week if there was any potential he would have a setback. We've been very cautious, we've done the right thing. The injury has healed. We'll see how he feels after a pretty good practice today.''

Please don't rush him back. Joseph is a Pro Bowl caliber commodity.

Great news!!! Zuttah has really stepped in as a rookie. With Joseph back and healthy alot of D-lines are not going to want to go to work on Sunday!!It's also nice to know we have got great depth on the interior line..

Gruden, just keep trusting your instincts on things, they are guiding this team in the right direction! Keep mixing it up, keep being unpredictable, and in your own words, "keep the edge hot!"

GOT TO FEEL GOOD ABOUT THIS O-LINE! AT LEAST GRUDEN CAN PICK GOOD O-LINEMAN...LOL

I wonder how well Zuttah would be at RT. I think J.T is fine but he does struggle against quicker DE. Hope to see the line up of Penn, Sears, Faine, Jeseph, and Zuttah even if it's just for a few snaps here and there.

We're going to need Joseph because the Packers can really get after the QB, especially Kampman.
It's going to be a tough test for the defense. They really have to get a hat on those WRs. They are excellent YAC guys that can make a defensive back look slow. I don't think we can play man on those guys.

Let's hope the Bucs bring Joseph along in a prudent manner. This young man has a hell of a future ahead of him if he can stay healthy.

I am a fan from the great state of maine and also a fan of michael bennett, what is the deal? why doesn't he play?
Posted by: donald | September 24, 2008 at 05:49 PM
Donald, Just heard Scott Reynolds from "Pewter Report" State that there is a rumor that bennett will be active this week. With that said .. someone will have to be deactivated.. My money is on Dexter Jackson who also stated the reason he was going down on returns was to "protect himself"

Welcome back Davin -We need you

I'm glad that DJ is coming back. He's been our best lineman the past two years and with him next to TB we should have nice big holes for our backs to run through. I also think his nasty streak will even TB out a little and keep him from being the only enforcer on the online. That means less penalteis.

Funny how Zuttah playing well the past two weeks will expedite Joseph's healing process.
It's good to know Zuttah can step in and the OL doesn't miss a beat.

I'm sure Zuttah will still get plenty of PT on Sunday spelling Joseph.

Not so fast. Joseph did not practice today.

The Bucs have clearly stated than Zuttah will not play tackle, that he's an interior lineman, so much for that. I have seen very little poor play from Penn this year, at least not anymore than any other lineman. They have all had great and not-so-great moments, but i think it's moving forward. The best thing you can do for this o-line is keep them healthy, playing together, and everything will be fine.
