Dunn says he's improving

Warrick Dunn went to bed early Monday with a sprained ankle and a stiff neck following the Bucs' win over the Seattle Seahawks.

He has not participated in a full practice this week as the result of a pinched nerve in his back and was limited again Thursday. But Dunn, 33, sounded optimistic about his chances of recovering in time to play against the Cowboys.

"I think people are kind of surprised I'm moving around, I can turn my neck and different things,'' Dunn said. "I'm all right. I'm good.

"I turned my ankle in the first quarter and in the third quarter, I hit my head a little bit. I think that night I really felt the effects when I got him from my hits. So it was one of those games were I took a couple of shots. But I have some days off. I'm good.''

Michael Bennett! 'Nuff Said!

Agreed! Would love to see Bennett play. Somehow I think they'll play Caddy before Bennett and I think that is a dumb move.

try bennett returning kicks

The way Bennett played in the preseason he really deserves his shot. The guy has big play potential, but he is obviously in Gruden's dog house since making comments about a lack of playing time, so don't look forward to seeing him play on Sunday. Jon would have Graham and Dunn play out there on broken legs before he gives in and plays a guy who made a comment he didn't agree with. Even at the expense of winning with healthier players. It's sad to see talent rot on the bench like that.

Tom

I agree that Bennett could be pretty good. But we have two very good backs right now. So, if they're healthy, there won't be much use for Bennett at RB. However, I'd be interested in seeing how he does in the return game. Can't be worse than Jackson.

CW

I would much rather see Dunn go than have Bennet in there. Dunn has been on fire the past few weeks. Hope Warrick feels better soon.

Oldcrank

Yeah, I would also like to see Bennett in the return game. There's no logjam for that spot. Deckster is on hold til next training camp. Bennett's tendency to go North/South are better suited to that role if he can pick up his blockers. I prefer Dunn's shiftiness and versatility at the tailback spot.

i like that idea of Bennett in the return game...

can't be worse than Dexter...
