Barber named NFC Defensive Player of Week
Cornerback Ronde Barber had been named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week for his two interception performance in the Bucs' 38-20 win over the Detroit Lions.
Barber, 33, returned the second interception 65-yards for a touchdown.

Obviously there has to have been a mistake! All those Barber bashers couldn't have been wrong about how he was losing games for the Bucs! Clearly the view through the bottom of a beer bottle is different! Ronde is still the best, 'Nuff Said!!!

Yeah, I don't see that benchbarber guy posting here this week. Hope he's enjoying the crow he has to eat with his turkey.

It's great that he made those two interceptions, but it doesn't change the fact that opposing teams are having tremendous success against him. Even in this same game he was targeted multiple times, including a gain of 40 yards and a touchdown. Hopefully the Saints don't expose him again this week like they did in week 1.

Valrico is at it again with his improper use of the english language. Barber also got beat several times in the same game, and if I'm not mistaken the interceptions came with him as a nickel back. Those interceptions have more to do with the fact that Talib was moved to cover Johnson, and with that came the decision to throw at Barber instead. If you had to pick a DB to throw a risky pass towards, it's Barber! Enough said.

See, again I think I have to defend Ronde on that, because if you look at the two plays he was burned on, it was again, man coverage against a guy who is like, what, 6 foot 4, and he was supposed to have safety support over the top which never materialized. I love me some Piscatelli, but he would be the first to tell you that he was out of position on both of those plays. There isn't a week that Ronde doesn't make some sort of splash play so I believe he deserves a lot more credit, especially from fans.

Actually Tiki let it out last week on Sirius radio during a interview that Ronde has been playing through a MCL sprain since the 2nd game of the year. He also mentioned how Sabby is the guy all the secondary players consider to be the best athelete of the group.

All you people mouthing off about Ronde earlier in the season I CAN'T HEAR YOU! Bet you all feel as dumb as you are. Probably the same people that thought John Lynch was washed up for years ago. Your the best Ronde!

Maybe an injury is the problem. He still shows quickness in some situations; like straight forward. Backpedaling and lateral movements not so quick.
