go bucs

Great win against a very formidable opponent. 4-0 in the third quarter. The Bucs are really rolling and at the right time of the season. Keep it going guys!

That was harder than it needed to be! Garcia's numbers were terrible, and where was Williams when they needed to run out the clock? If not for the defense the Gruden high powered offensive machine just about gave another one away! Carolina just went back on top so all you "go bucs" fans with the rose colored glasses get ready for next week! 'Nuff Said!!!

BUCS WIN!!! they won ugly but its still a win 9-3 big game next week monday night!
Posted by: Eric | November 30, 2008 at 04:15 PM
Clifton smith's new nickname is sparky because he always provides a spark in the return game. What a wonderful comeback for Cadillac, no knee problems so far
Posted by: shane | November 30, 2008 at 04:16 PM
Valrico didn't we say we would start fining people for saying 'nuff saud? Dang it now i got penalized. see now your costing me money
Posted by: shane | November 30, 2008 at 04:17 PM
wait no i said saud not said league does not penalize for improper spelling.
Posted by: shane | November 30, 2008 at 04:18 PM
Easy there Valrico nuff said Gruden basher... if it weren't for your wonderful defensive star Barber, the game wouldn't have been as close as it was. By the way, the correct spelling is "enough", as most 3rd graders know. I was disapointed to see Dunn in as the closer instead of Caddy. Is he hurt?
Posted by: Dave | November 30, 2008 at 04:19 PM
I think Green Bay sucks for not beating Carolina.
Posted by: Dave | November 30, 2008 at 04:22 PM
To Valrico Rick: Phfttttttttttttttt!
Posted by: JP4 | November 30, 2008 at 04:27 PM
rick the bucs are still on top of the division because they beat the panthers and when we beat them again the bucs will be in sole possession of 1st place in the NFC South and this loss for the Saints seriously ends their playoff hopes as the panthers bucs and falcons are too good right now to lose the next for games
Posted by: shane | November 30, 2008 at 04:28 PM
The Bucs have done a great job defending their home territory, 6-0 at home is impressive. However, the division is on the line next week in Carolina, can they go on the road and win?
Posted by: DR | November 30, 2008 at 05:34 PM
I don't even have to read the "Failricorick" at the bottom of the post to know which BUC hater is writing, but it does seem he is getting more and more desperate in his attempts to find a cloud in every silver lining! We have a reccord that most teams would traid their Kicker to have, and I for one am mighty Proud of Coach Gruden, and the rest of OUR BUCS! GO BUCS!
Posted by: IdahoBUCfan | November 30, 2008 at 05:54 PM
I love Dunn, but we will need to see more Cadillac next week to keep pressure on Carolina's front four. Monte's err, Gruden's team squeaks by with another win!
Posted by: Kennedy | November 30, 2008 at 06:01 PM
Valrico Rick, if nothing else you are consistent in your hatred of Gruden and the Bucs.
Posted by: Vince | November 30, 2008 at 06:15 PM
Everyone seems to have overlooked the fact that Clifton Smith played his first game without a fumble today... go Bucs!
Posted by: Dave | November 30, 2008 at 06:30 PM
I only wish I would've sacked myself a few more times during the game. I'm just to d@mn good to let that happen.
Wait, I'm not that Drew, what am I saying. On to Carolina, hurahh!
Posted by: Drew | November 30, 2008 at 06:32 PM
Yes it was another ugly win, in ugly weather though. It was expected. I do love the way this team finds ways to win. They keep fighting and fighting. You definitely can't question their heart.Go Bucs!!! damn Packers...
Posted by: bucfaninphx | November 30, 2008 at 06:35 PM
I miss the time when we had the ability to change the name, to let's say Valrico Rick and really poor on the I hate you and I hate this.
Eliminating the ability to do this has held everyone accountable and there's a lot of "LOVE" here now. How many of the Gruden and Barber haters were fictitious and never really existed?
Time for a group hug!!! Group HUG!!!

This was actually a very re-assuring game, if you think about it. The Bucs will not face another offense as good as this until the playoffs. Despite giving up a few big plays, the defense brought up their game on the ground and in the air. Statistics not withstanding, there wasn't a point in the 4th quarter that you ever felt like the Saints had the will power to just march down the field and score. They (the Saints) played well, but offensively scared, and it showed. Deuce was limited, and the few good runs came up the middle, and then disappeared when they tried to run sweeps and WR screens. Put this one on Payton for calling it poorly, and put it on Kiffin for calling it right. The Bucs defense held up their end and in typical fashion, the offense did just enough to win. But I'll take it either way. They don't give out the Lombardi Trophy based upon style points, just the scoreboard. Overall, it was a great game to be a Buc fan.

Bucs pick off mega-hyped super QB four times, with one called back on an unrelated made up call (watch the replay, Shockey ran into Barber), and three other potential ones dropped. This is what they did to Favre and other division rivals for years; soft coverage in midfield, picks in the end zone.
Garcia gets by with one of his worst starts in years, impressive on the ground but pulled down too many times (no respect for the receivers?) and was as or more skittish than ever.
Great win no matter how you look at it. Dec 8th looms as the biggest game of the year. Rest up, get ready. I'd like to see a legit dual back threat with some more confidence in Carnell. Hopefully it's good weather and Delhomme keeps his pattern of likely crap play.

DR and Valrico Rick are headed for the NFL hall of Sainthood.

Proud of Coach Gruden? What exactly did he do? It was Monte's defense that put them in field goal range, which Gruden's offense did nothing. The Bucs have the worst red zone offense. Be proud of that. It's amazing what the Bucs defense has done this season. They don't have the stats like other great defenses in the past, but they refuse to allow the opposing team to finish the game. They bend but don't break.
Garcia had a terrible game. I'm not sure why Galloway even plays any more. He should be hanging out with Dexter Jackson in the local knitting class.
Posted by: DR | November 30, 2008 at 06:53 PM
A note just for fun: you've likely read by now about Gruden making Smith carry a ball constantly while at One Buc Place, having to buy a steak dinner (Gruden loves to make people buy other people steaks).
If you watched closely, after every return smith carried the ball off the field with a locked grip.
Oh wait, shouldn't I be writing about how Gruden is causing the fumbles? He sprays their gloves with WD-40 every down right?
Posted by: Jon | November 30, 2008 at 06:58 PM
This is the ugliest 9-3 out there. The offense for this team stinks. The o-line is the main reason and if this line some how wake up, they will lose there next two division games.
This team has not been a good running team since teh return of #75.
Thank goodness for Kiffen and his great denfense.
Do not anyone beleive this team can do any thing by gaining 250 yards of total offense in back to back to weeks against the Saints and the Lions the worst defenses in this conferance.
Posted by: Ben bolt fan | November 30, 2008 at 07:04 PM
Everyone deserves credit for 9-3, especially Gruden. Great win sets up a HUGE game on Monday in Charlotte...
Posted by: Big Pat | November 30, 2008 at 07:05 PM

Ben bolt fan is either 9 years old or retarded.
Posted by: Jon | November 30, 2008 at 07:39 PM
Galloway got a shot to make a play and half a**ed it. Nice. Go sit next to DJax where y'alls blinding speed can be harnessed to reverse global warming... or something...

Bucs 23 Saints 20! Enough Said!
Posted by: Keith Austin | December 01, 2008 at 09:01 AM
DR speaks the truth, yet I will aplaud the commitment to the run by the Bucs. If "Valero Rick" wants to say "Nuff' said", then let him! Act like you got a life!
Posted by: Vincent | December 01, 2008 at 01:21 PM
Garcia being "skittish" won us the game...it's his ability to keep plays alive that is winning us games. That has always been his style so why do people keep seeing it as a negative? I love his gritty play. In a game where the weather was horrible he made several keys plays with his feet.I'd rather him get a sure first down by running it than take a chance with a wet ball and swirling winds and throwing on the run. Dont kid yourselves, if we had a "pocket passer" that could not move around, we would have a lot more sacks and losses. period. Go Bucs!!!
Posted by: bucfaninphx | December 01, 2008 at 02:37 PM
Atually, WS, it seems you are mistaken. Barber's penalty on Shockey nearly cost us the game... or were you not watching the game?
Posted by: Dave | December 01, 2008 at 04:33 PM
In his defense, that should have been a non-call...Shockey ran into Barber...
