I would have thought Rudd would have earned consideration, but a member of the Buc's offensive line on a list such as this is pretty good considering!

What were they thinking choosing Reggie Bush over Dexster Jackson?

I would have to consider Antonio Bryant. Jermaine Phillips also deserve a bit of recogniton as does BarretRudd.
I guess Ronde "Toast" Barber wasn't considered.

Right on with Rudd. He absolutely should have been there.
Quite frankly the NFC south is the strongest in the NFL and sould be better represented, but when they are ALWAYS last on ESPN, they just do not get the exposure.

This is actually an All NFL team I'd have to disagree with it. Michael Turner has been shut down against good teams. I would go with the rookie Chris Johnson from Tennessee, a guy who has no passing attack and has lived up to every hype they gave him. He's rookie of the year if Matt Ryan has a bad second half. Matt Ryan may be a pro bowl player if he gets better which is trouble for the South if he does.

These guys are a little too in love with stats too. Woodson is not the best CB in the league right now. Asomugha is better, nobody throws his way for him to get INTs. Deion never had INTs to prove his worth, but he was the best.

reggie "MR.overrated" bush is on this list, seriously the people that made this list must be high off their arses. i could think of many other returners that could be on this list, Devin Hester anyone or hell maybe even that undrafted rookie that returned a 97-yarder on sunday...what was his name, oh yeah CLIFTON SMITH.

I think that Derrick Brooks, Barret Rudd, Ernest Graham, Antonio Bryant, and Ronde Barber could all have been members of the mid-season All-Pro team. The Bucs are 6-3 and in a great position for the remainder of the year. Go Bucs and great win Sunday!

Hey MORONS!:
This is why Barrett RUUD is not on the list, even fans of his own team don't know his name.. it is R-U-U-D... not RUDD for crud's sake!

Stephen what the hell is going on with B.J. Askew's hamstring? For crying out loud I've seen 85 year old men recover from open heart surgery faster than this guy is recovering from a hamstring pull.
If they bring Caddy back, is Bennett gone and would that move Graham to FB with Dunn and Caddy as the running backs?
Any word on a Garcia contract extention?

Hey Matt, 85 year old men don't have to run full speed and block 300 pound men running at them. There is a big difference. Hamstrings are killers in the NFL. One small tweak and you're screwed.

PFW "respected publication"?
Compared to what - Hustler magazine?
It's not a credible news source. It's the Heat magazine of the world of NFL.
Come on.

Why do I have this image of Al Davis trying to run block Marcus Stroud right now?
Posted by: Matt | November 04, 2008 at 01:39 PM
Joey, are you smokin' crack? Ronde Barber for all pro? That guy--love him great Buc--has now become a liability wiht poor tackling, loss of speed and bad penalties..Don't be such a "homer", but don't be such a moron either like our favorite tool DR.

Ronde isn't as terrible as everyone is making him out to be. A lot of it has to do with the defensive scheme.
He's always been a step slow and not the best man coverage guy. It's not his thing. He is great in a zone, which TB is not playing nearly as much this year.
He's not getting good over the top help this year, which he has needed since he was a rookie. He's still making plays blitzing and against the run. He's made some uncharacteristic mental lapses, but not as bad as it is being made out to be.
I'd like to see him rotate with Talib a little more to stay fresh, but he still belongs on the roster.
I agree he's def. not All Pro material this year, though. Horse collars are a stupid rule, anyways. It's not like he was chasing from behind and had a choice of what he grabbed. He was trying to take down a bigger back and make a play. It happens.

T-Jax for Pro bowl in 09
Posted by: shane | November 04, 2008 at 04:34 PM
Askew probably tore his hamstring vs. pulling it. A pull, depending on how bad it is, can be a few days to maybe 3 weeks to heal. A tear, on the other hand, has to fully knit back together and then has to be reconditioned to keep it from tearing again.
Many, many moons ago when I could run fast enough to actually pull something I tore a quad. You're functional for day to day stuff in about a week but as soon as you try to accelerate and/or run hard it lets you know it's there real quick.
