Haye not at practice

Defensive trackle Jovan Haye, who suffered a knee injury in the Bucs' win over the Saints Sunday, was not at practice Thursday.

Bucs coach Jon Gruden has said the team is concerned about Haye's injury, but no further details have been released.

If Haye is unable to play against Carolina Monday night, expect defensive tackle Ryan Sims to see significantly more playing time.

Defensive end Gaines Adams, who has a hip pointer, is practicing and should play against the Panthers.

Luckily there's some depth on that side of the ball. Sims has been pretty solid.

Give Sims and Wilkerson more playing time. They have both done well in limited work.

How is Adams healing?

Itch, Adams looks good (well at least this pciture from practice thursday looks that way):

Sims is going to control the middle this Monday night! He's really looked good, blowing up opponents' interior lines all season long. Look for a big game from the baller from UNC in his hometown's back yard!

Sims has been the benefactor of sparse playing time this season. Hopefully, he can play well with 3X the snaps he is used to and can seriously disrupt Carolina's potent running game. Hopefully, my guy, Greg Peterson, can come in and provide the speed and change of pace to make an impact as well.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Super-stud Jimmy Wilkerson get 50% of the snaps at the UT spot, of course with Carter sick he might see lots of time at LDE too.. or Gaines with White on the LDE spot. We've been incredibly healthy this season on the DL, it will be interesting to see hat the rotation is on Monday.
