Hovan says he's all right

If you want some good news concerning the Bucs, this about the best we can do:

Nose tackle Chris Hovan says he'll be all right after finding himself wrapped up pretzel-like on the bottom of a pile Monday night.

Heaven knows the Bucs need all the help they can get in the trenches right now after giving up an appalling 299 rushing yards to the Panthers.

Glad Hovan's okay. Now we see truly what he and Haye mean to this defense.

On the other side of the coin, we see how old friends Dunn & Barber cost us a chance at this game. Dunn's 40 drops in the 4th quarter combined with Ronde not being able to (on repeats of the SAME PLAY) funnel the runs back inside, gave Carolina the game.

I love those guys, but jeez! That was embarassing.

Yessir that was a classic buttwhoopin but it's only 1 game. There's a lot of football left and carolina has the tougher schedule. Bucs simply need to regroup and plan for Atlanta. I'm sure Atlanta will deploy some of the schemes that Carolina used last night to open the hugh holes in our defensive line. Monty will counter - he always does.

Go Bucs.

I'm more concerned with the absence of Jermain Phillips - because there was a LOT of run defense missing there. No gap control, bad tackling, bad angles and a total lack of discipline by an otherwise stifling defense. Where the hell did Flip disappear to?

Jimmy

What happened to Galloway???

Kurt

Jay...Phillips has played in the last two contests, while compiling two interceptions (one last night.) Did he get injured in this game or are you unaware of his presence?
