Thursday's injury rundown

Here's the latest, according to the Bucs' official injury report.

There was a surprise addition to today's report when WR Michael Clayton was listed as having limited participation in practice because of a knee injury.

"He's had off and on bouts of tendinitis," coach Jon Gruden said. "We think he'll be okay. He did practice a little bit but he was limited. He'll be ready to go."

The same couldn't be said for DT Jovan Haye, who didn't practice again and is beginning to look like a long shot for Monday's game.

"I'll say he's very questionable for Monday's game," Gruden said. "But I've said that about him before and he has a mysterious way of showing up on the airplane and in his uniform."

Elsewhere, DE Gaines Adams (hip) was reported as having full participation today, so all signs point to him being ready to go on Monday.

not to insinuate anything, but why when a coach says "... and he has a mysterious way of showing up on the airplane and in his uniform." does it always scream steroids or hgh or something else illegal that would allow a player to heal faster then they should?

Wow, this is an exciting year! I kinda sorta missed out on the Super Bowl year (cops come during the playoff loss to the Eagles year before, slap some handcuffs and an orange jumpsuit on me, and what do you know? I spend that year in jail and get sentanced to 6 years in prison! So actually, while the Bucs were heading off the field I was getting booked) so I am enjoying this one! We truly look super! If anybody can beat the Giants it's us.

Our defense and special teams look Superbowl capable. But our offense is a little like Carolina's in that you just do not know if they are going to come to play or not. We can't have more than three 3 & Outs a game, and we have to be able to score TDs when in the red zone. These have been real weaknesses all year long. On the positive side we are not turnover happy - leaky maybe - but not too bad. Gruden has begun to mix in some different plays over the last few games (it s about time), but we still do not use the deep threat enough. But we have found a way to win and in the end that s what matters.

davidsmarch - your 'not to insinuate anything' comment is a pretty nasty insinuation. Could it be that a guy just guts it out and plays in spite of pain?

It's called vicodin... ask Favre, he'll tell ya!

It's not Gruden's fault Itch...Garcia looks bush-league if you ask me. He's so timid he won't throw the ball over 20 yards unless the receiver has about 10 yards separation. He needs to start taking some chances downfield and utilize Galloway's speed. He's really stinking the place up if you ask me. The gameplan is fine...execution is not!

(davidsmarch) I don't want to insinuate anything but you are either naive or stupid if you don't think players in the NFL use pain killers.

Kurt,

I think it is fair to criticize Garcia. He should be more composed than he is. But he has also done some good things and he does fire the team up when they need it (most of the time).

But, I would disagree with the game plan. We are highly predictable, and we do not run plays that stretch the field with Galloway or Bryant. Garcia tends to scramble to early, but he is also forced to do so quite a bit, which hinders his ability to look down field, so that could be part of the problem. But if Gruden wanted to stretch the field he would make Garcia do so. I will give Gruden credit for starting to run more different plays over the last five games, but if we want our running game to be more impactful we have to stretch the field. That has not been part of the game plan.

Kurt,

You truly are an idiot. To have a problem with the way Garcia has played despite the fact that you are an unabashed Griese lover? Clueless moron that has no credibility is more like it.

Hey guys, Kurt has bashed every QB on the roster and sang the praises of Griese since the moment the season started and all Griese has done is played exactly the way I said he would and proven to be a complete worthless piece of garbage. Now, Kurt is back bashing Garcia who truly does what it takes to win a game (unlike Griese who throws constant pick 6's). Give me a break. Methinks Kurt believed the rumors about Garcia and Jeff turned down poor Kurt in the bar... but then again, what does that say about Griese? Was there a second date perhaps?

Just reread your stupid post, Kurt. You're criticizing Garcia for not throwing more than 20 down the field, well what about your hero, Brian griese? When did he EVER throw the ball 20 yards down the field? 15? 10? I mean of course, without getting the pass picked off... How does it feel, Kurt, to always be so dreadfully wrong? Garcia did struggle against the Saints and the rain, so he used his legs... what would your boy Griese hve done? He can never throw the ball and he has no athleticism either, he's the worst QB to start a game for us since Eric Zeier (and yet, he's still YOUR guy!).
