Bucs re-sign Paris Warren
Receiver Parris Warren will have a chance to resume his career with the Bucs.
The fourth-year receiver signed a one-year contract. Warren, a seventh-round pock from Utah in 2005, had his career threatened in the 2007 preseason. After catching his fourth touchdown of the preseason, Warren suffered an ankle fracture and dislocation.
Warren tried to make a comeback last season but was released Aug. 26. He later returned for one week on the practice squad.

Paris looked so good a couple of years ago... I hope he can break through this coming year...

Paris Warren could make a difference somewhere maybe especially if Clayton departs he blocks down field well.

Yeah, welcome back Paris - NOW GO GET INTO PLAYING SHAPE...we need you.
Posted by: Stacy | January 20, 2009 at 02:30 PM
I HOPE THIS GUY STAYS HEALTHY. HE HAS WORKED HARD TO GET THIS CHANCE AND HE HAS GREAT ABILITY. WE ALL SEEN WHAT HE DID THAT PRESEASON PRIOR TO THE INJURY. IF HE CAN PRODUCE AND WE KEEP BRYANT OUR OFFENSE WILL BE THAT MUCH BETTER! THIS KID HAS SHOWN FLASHES OF BRILIANCE!
Posted by: Robert | January 20, 2009 at 02:55 PM
Hopefully he is back to full stregth, if he is congratulations to him and his career. He looked good in the preseason before he got hurt that yr. But the team will sign a lot of players in the coming weeks. Hopefully they sign Antonio Bryant he fits any system.
Posted by: D Block | January 20, 2009 at 03:10 PM
We definitely need Antonio Bryant re-signed & it would be great to try and sign Boldin. He does not want to be in AZ. anymore. I just hope he is not becoming the next T.O. in the sense of disrupting the locker room?

Surprise that Gruden and Allen chose to keep Maurice Stovall instead of Paris after this past pre-season. Paris clearly displayed his potential prior to his injury. Potential I personally never have seen fron Maurice. As for the comment about Clayton departing 'e', No one for the Bucs blocks downfield like Michael. Perhaps we can find a coordinator who can finally figure out how to use the superior talent that Clayton possesses. I feel comfortable saying that Michael is one of only a FEW Bucs that still plays with the 'BUST YOUR MOUTH' style we were accustomed to when Lynch,Sapp,Alstott,Jackson,Brooks and others were playing together. We need the attitudes like Michaels, Earnests,Barretts,Jermaines, and others on the current team. These guys go down Fighting !! Again let's just hope for a real offensive genious and a GM that knows what offensive talent looks like when he sees it. Its a good thing Monte Kiffin knew what Defensive talent looked like while he was still able to impart his Wisdom.

I said Paris blocks well. I never said a bad word about Mike Clayton. I for one hope he stays he blocks about as well as Keyshawn. Frankly I think he is a stud that was trapped in the wrong system. Watch him at LSU...against SEC teams.

Stacy, I don't thin Boldin is anything like T.O. That guy has done alot for that franchise and has been around sice they were nobody. To see the guy that lines up on the other side of you get a huge deal and nothing for you must hurt. Although the contract has bothered him this season he has put it aside on game day. Sun. he just wanted to be in the game heloing his team win. He wan't complaining who was getting the ball. He just wanted to be on the field. I admire a guy who is hurt, but knows being on that field will help his team. If he was cring about who was getting the ball and his QB is horrible, then that would raise some red flags. Boldin has been a model player in the NFL and I think he would be great for our locker room. We do really need to sign AB. Imagine AB on one side and Boldin on the other. That would be dangerous!

Its all Good 'e'. Great comments ! We're all family round here. We just want Results.
Posted by: Rob | January 20, 2009 at 03:27 PM
I commend the Cardinals for restricting Boldins playing time. Think about it....they preserved him from re-injury....and now he will be MORE healthy for the game that really matters. I'm sure he will forget all of it come time for the coin toss.
Posted by: Rob | January 20, 2009 at 03:31 PM
Rob I am not 'e'......
Posted by: USArmyRob | January 20, 2009 at 03:32 PM
Robert - I hope it happens. If we could get Boldin on the same page w/AB and get Clifton Smith productive, that would be a decent start w/respect to the receiving corps and it could (theoretically) happen w/just one acquisition. Now, with the 2nd acquisition lets get a monster D Nose man.
Posted by: Stacy | January 20, 2009 at 03:33 PM
oops !! thats right you are not ! They were right when they told me my vision would get bad after 40. :)
Posted by: Rob | January 20, 2009 at 03:33 PM
Knowning Anquan he is a player thats all. Remember at FSU he played QB in the Bowl Game because Mcpherson was suspended and later kicked out. Anqaun was upset he wasnt on the field not upset about catches or money. He is a player nothing close to T.O. or Ocho Cinco he does his talking on the field. One blow up and people flip on him I would take him over Galloway any day of the week.

Good comment Stacy, still havent replace #99 on the line yet.
Posted by: Rob | January 20, 2009 at 03:35 PM
I remember Boldin in Highschool...caught a pass for a TD..ran one for a TD..Int..and blocked a game winning FG.
Posted by: USArmyRob | January 20, 2009 at 03:35 PM
Also threw a TD as well..
Posted by: USArmyRob | January 20, 2009 at 03:36 PM
Stacy that is a good point we need to spend the money and get Haynesworth..he is nasty!!
Posted by: USArmyRob | January 20, 2009 at 03:36 PM
whatever became of the DT we drafted out of Alabama 2 yrs ago ?
Posted by: Rob | January 20, 2009 at 03:37 PM
I like Haynesworth but I know he's had some injuries and I dont know how old he is - but he is a beast. I guess I will do some research on College monsters but none come to mind right now.
Posted by: Stacy | January 20, 2009 at 03:38 PM
Boston College has a stud..and also we could make a play for one of the Williams out of MN..they are at the end of their contract.

Just looked it up - Haynesworth is 27 going on 28 so if the injuries r not too debilitating...
Posted by: Stacy | January 20, 2009 at 03:57 PM
These Polynesian guys have proved to be Ferocious players. Just look around the NFL.
Posted by: Rob | January 20, 2009 at 03:57 PM
Rob, I like it. he can handle the hot weather too.
Posted by: Stacy | January 20, 2009 at 03:59 PM
He also seems to be a quality person with great leadership potential.
Posted by: Rob | January 20, 2009 at 04:08 PM
We are gonna lose our Leader on defense before Long. And it is gonna be hard to replace Mr Brooks and what he has represented for many years. There may potentially be someone there already, but this guy comes with some great things said about him from Pete Carroll.
Posted by: Rob | January 20, 2009 at 04:12 PM
Receivers, first and foremost are supposed to catch guys, blocking is a bonus or plus. Now were supposed to fit a blocking receiver in our scheme?
Posted by: OAR | January 20, 2009 at 04:28 PM
Whatever scheme that may be. Hopefully one will be figured soon.
Posted by: OAR | January 20, 2009 at 04:29 PM
the DT from alabama was Anthony Byrant. He was huge. He spent most of his rookie year on the practice squad and a couple games on the 53 man roster. We ended up cutting him and when Marinelli went to Detroit he signed him. He had potential but the last regime let him get away. Hope fully we go after Haynewsworth and Dre Moore develops.

Recievers are suppose to do 2 things, catch the ball and block. To be honest, if you have a good coach in place who teaches fundamentals...the blocking part shouldn't even be a problem. Having said that, I predict Micheal Clayton will not be here next season. He is an average reciever at best and there are much better options out there.
Glad to see they resigned Paris, if he stays healthy he could be one of the answers on that side of the ball. As far as Boldin goes, he doesn't seem to be T.O. type that thinks he's bigger than life itself. He's a competor and if he's available in a trade, then we need to get him!
Posted by: Garick | January 20, 2009 at 05:28 PM
We are going to have to give something up to get boldin.. Who do we give up?
Posted by: Robert | January 20, 2009 at 05:37 PM
Hey Rob i don't know if u saw that post i did a while back, but Boldin can option out of his contract. He isn't technically a FA but he will demand more money next yr. If he doesn't all attention should shift to TJ he is a FA. Him & AB would make a formidable duo. There is always hope that a few of those playmakers slide out of the top 15 with a run on lineman. It seems to happen every yr 1 or 2 teams draft a position & the next thing u know it's a run.

It's a FA Site you can check out who's a restricted or unrestricted FA. It is very accurate

We could always trade Gruden for Bolden?
Posted by: King | January 20, 2009 at 06:20 PM
I would be happy with Boldin of T.J. I thought they said the only way Boldin would be getting out of ARZ this year would through a trade? I could be wrong..
Posted by: Robert | January 20, 2009 at 06:54 PM
D Block I heard Chris Mort. say that Boldin did not meet the incentive clause to opt out...he wasnt sure though either..maybe that is another reason he is pissed. I think I read on NFL.com somewhere he would have to be traded to get out.
Posted by: USArmyRob | January 20, 2009 at 07:01 PM
I could be wrong i don't have any friends playing 4 the Cards. But if my memory serves me right he can option out this yr.
Posted by: D Block | January 20, 2009 at 07:06 PM
What ever happened to Marquis Walker? Or for that matter whatever happened to Mike Williams? Also dont be overly surprised if the Saints tender Marquis Colston with a RFA3 and we make a run at him. If they only want a 2nd and 5th with an RFA3 Id think we may let it go. He has been great when healthy.
Posted by: USArmyRob | January 20, 2009 at 07:07 PM
It won't take players to get Boldin but draft picks. Two first dayers more than likely and it would be worth it. He would be a huge upgrade at the WR position.
Again, oar and company like to dog Clayton out for dropped passes but the stats don't prove it. People were mad about the drops he had against Carolina but those didn't count for drops because they were bad passes and would have been great catches. These same people who dog Clayton for a dropped pass say nothing about big girl Stephanie dropping an open TD.
Posted by: DR | January 20, 2009 at 07:08 PM
As for QB watch out for David Garrad/J.P. Losman they are FA this year as well.
Posted by: USArmyRob | January 20, 2009 at 07:08 PM
I hope you are wrong Army because it was incentive based. That is a piss off
Posted by: D Block | January 20, 2009 at 07:09 PM
Yea Im not a fan of Stevens either..as for RB's on the market...Buckhalter from Philly is free an would be an upgrade and backup to EG. Dunn if healthy is still better in my opinion though. Steven Jackson, Brandon Jacobs/Derrick Ward (one will leave), Rudi Johnson, Dominic Rhodes, Tomlinson/Sproles one of them is leaving, plus even a reach for Ricky Williams
Posted by: USArmyRob | January 20, 2009 at 07:12 PM
Oh well TJ or draft!!! We can't afford a trade especially if things are not going well with Josh Johnson this coming up season. We would need our draft picks for next yrs draft to get McCoy or Bradford. If Tebow gets his mechanics sound he could also become an option. It is all wishful thinking at this point.
Posted by: D Block | January 20, 2009 at 07:14 PM
DT..dont forget Haynesworth and also Tommie Harris is there this year too and I hate to say it but even Tank Johnson is an upgrade if the money is right (get him cheap only) I just think Hovan is overrated personally. I like is fire yet not much push to keep lineman off LB's.
Posted by: USArmyRob | January 20, 2009 at 07:16 PM
I say dont change a thing in the DB realm. Except move Ronde inside to Nickel and start Talib and Phillip B...UNLESS the Raiders stud comes out FA. Dreaming....
Posted by: USArmyRob | January 20, 2009 at 07:18 PM
Don't worry Army their will be backs available in the 2nd & 3rd rd. It depends on the big time FA's on D because i don't believe they will bring in another veteran RB.
Posted by: D Block | January 20, 2009 at 07:19 PM
yea but why waste another pick this year when u dont know if caddy rebounds and if eg rebounds..if u keep a vet atleast u can use that pick at DT in 2nd or 3rd...i think we need to go offense round 1 but then back to D the rest.
