It was gut check time for Dominik

In case you missed the item in the Times this morning, Mark Dominik was hospitalized Thursday following surgery to remove his appendix.

He checked himself out of a Tampa hospital Friday upon learning the Glazer family had decided to promote him to general manager.

We're told the Glazers were unaware of Dominik's illness. It illustrates how caught off guard everyone within the organization was of plans to fire coach Jon Gruden and GM Bruce Allen Friday.

Dominik, 37, is doing much better, thank you. "I really was hoping nobody would find out about that,'' he said. "But I feel pretty good.''

STACY, I THINK WHAT HE MEANT IS THAT IF EVERYONE KNEW WHAT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN IT WOULD HAVE BEE MUCH DIFFERENT. IF THE GLAZEERS WOULD HAVE KNOWN THE GUY THEY WERE GOING TO PROMOTE TO GM WAS IN THE HOSPITAL IT PROBABLY WOULD HAVE WENT DOWN DIFFERENTLY. THIS HAPPEND SO FAST THAT DOMINIK WAS IN THE HOSPITAL, THE GLAZERS DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT IT, AND MORRIS WAS OUT GETTING A HAIRCUT. MORRIS AND DOMINIK WERE BEING GIVEN POSITIONS AND ONLY FOUND OUT SHORTLY BEFORE WE DID. I THINK THAT IS WHAT HE WAS TRYING TO ILLUSTRATE..

Funny and a pack of lies, Mark Dominik knew he was the new GM 10 days before it happened so keep telling your lies and try to sleep at night snake. The Glazers knew all along and actually lied and said he was still in the hospital so he wouldn't have to go in and face the people who were his "friends". Careful what you wish for....
