Fox: Brooks is NFL's No. 7 remaining free agent
Former Bucs linebacker Derrick Brooks remains unclaimed as he seeks to continue his NFL career this fall, but there is no shortage of well-known names lingering through summer as unsigned free agents.
FOXsports.com has a slideshow ranking its top 10 unsigned free agents, and the 35-year-old Brooks is just No. 7 on the list, yet ahead of Colts receiver Marvin Harrison.
"He received next to no interest as of last week, but murmurs have begun around the Giants after an injury to starter Michael Boley," the site writes about Brooks.
There are no other NFC South players in the 10 named by FOX, and Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs is No. 1 in the rankings.

If I am reading that right:
Suggs is still available?
Why aren't the Bucs all over that?

I think the Ravens tagged Suggs.

"Why aren't the Bucs all over that?" Tagged or not, this team stopped spending in 2003. Period. And I'm the idiot who kept spending through 2008. But at least this year, I'm pure. No season tickets for me in 2009. You listening, Glazers? I ain't the only one. Screw this team.

Folks, Suggs is not available! I live here in the Balt/Wash area and the Ravens are going to ink him to a long term within the next week or two according to the local news stations. He's not going anywhere..I think the Bucs should inquire about Brandon Marshall though...

You know who got screwed is the fans with season tickets now. Did you know that they are offering season tickets now without a seat deposit and includes free parking and a $10 concession voucher for each game? Way to take care of your longtime supporters Glazers!

Is it 2009 or 1989? Hugh Culverhouse was the exact same way, always top money maker but lowest money spender. Bring on Richard Williamson, Bucco Bruce and some creamsicle orange baby, we are gonna party like its 1989.

yea, thanks for reminding me mm.
Still waiting on my Glazer rented limo to pick me up from my home here in spring hill for at least one game, considering I've been a sucka for the last 13 years. Not to mention games attened prior to the Bucs getting good.

you know, after re-readingthat, I'd be happy with a jersey or price reduction. Funny how all the ads for season tickets, 1/2 season tickets etc come out after were demanded to pay by a certain date or lose are tickets.
IF I would have been more attentive, I would have paid late, just to see if they had the cohonys to yank my tickets.

And what about Brooks? Why isn't he signed with our team? Is Flip the answere here? BS!

Funny how the Bucs were "wrong" to let go of Brooks but none of the 31 other teams have stepped up to sign him. At best, he's someone's "emergency" LB. But he should still be starting in Tampa? Riiiight...

Snook, it wasn't that they were so much in being wrong to let Brooks go, it was how they did it. To me they should have at least just let him compete in training camp. I do know this his leadership WILL BE MISSED! Alriiiiight...

Snook, nice reversal on these bloggers. Simeon Rice was released in a terrible manner as well and didn't make it with another team, but at least he was signed...twice. Brooks is great, that needs no explanation, but the coaching staff did sit and talk with him before they released him. With others didn't make any sense. His contract was too big and I think even with his release not being in the manner it should have been, Brooks hasn't ruled out Tampa as a team to play for. That should say something about the manner he was released. Not that Brooks is a bitter guy, but if he was released in a Simeon Rice manner, he wouldn't be thinking about playing for the Bucs next year.

Dallas Retard, I'll call you fly-on-the-wall from now on. You must be, cause you obviously now the deep dark secrets of the Buc's inner organization.
