Prosecutor: Torrie Cox and Angelo Crowell were with Talib in the cab

Tampa Bay Buccaneer cornerback Torrie Cox and injured linebacker Angelo Crowell were in the cab with cornerback Aqib Talib when he was arrested on Aug 19 on charges of simple battery and resisting arrest without violence, assistant state attorney Richard Ripplinger confirmed.

Ripplinger said his office plans to meet with Cox and Crowell - who is on injured reserve with torn biceps - next week before deciding on whether to move forward in the case against Talib.

Talib was booked into the Pinellas County Jail early Thursday, Aug 20 after the Florida Highway Patrol said he punched a cab driver in the neck and ear while riding from a St. Petersburg club to a Tampa hotel. Talib, 23, posted $300 bail later that morning and was released. Both charges are misdemeanors.

Guranteed that this fizzles out and nothing happens to Talib

WS

It figures that he hangs out with Torrie Cox. Get rid of TC! He's a scrub anyway. Hopefully Talib can stop acting so ghetto.

Mark

does anyone know who the bucs are starting at quarterback tonight?

I've decided on this one, if I can't say anything nice, then I won't say anything.
zip!

What planet are you living on WS? Talib has a real problem with his temper and it doesn't have anything to do with Cox! That's also not a very good job at trying to hide your obvious racism with the "ghetto" remark. Don't you have a wife to go beat or a dog to kick? Drink another and pass out already!

jerseybuc

what a preseason this has been....

Itch

I still think Talib should have to wear a chicken outfit.

HarborBull

Talib had off the field issues in college and now we get to see these issues rear their ugly head once again. Hopefully he won't pull Blount and run into to the crowd after we lose every game this season. Ya know USF had a cornerback by the name of Mike Jenkins without priors...

hahasucs!

doesn't matter if he gets off or not..the sucs have shown what metal they have, both the players and mgt.players all ghetto and mgt. inexperienced and clueless......and rest assured...they are guaranteed to be one of the worst teams in the NFL this year...and waiting to see how many romo hangs up on your pathetic team...according to "bucfandango" or what ever his name is..romo will score no more than 9 or 10....lets wait and see...maybye your new offensive coord. will turn the water into wine....

Jay

Once again, Torrie Cox fails to cover his man!

oldtimer

Hey! Look at the4 bright side, at least this time Cox WAS NOT driving!

oldtimer

Great pick up on Angelo Crowell, he'll be a big help on opening day!
