Tampa Bay Bucs injury report: Bryant (knee) and Mack (ankle) limited
Though Tampa Bay Buccaneers CB Aqib Talib was back to full participation at practice Thursday, a few new names popped up on the injury front.
WR Antonio Bryant was limited due to his knee, but coach Raheem Morris said it's the same injury that's bothered him all season. Elbert Mack injured his ankle in practice today, and he was limited.
The rest were full participation.

We are as healthy as we have been all year, GB's OL can make any DL look good, GB is coming off a huge, emotional game, we have had 2 weeks to prepare for these guys, and we are wearing our throwbacks(LOL). All of that said if this team can play a good 4 quarters we can win this game. I wont put a dollar on the BUCS, but this game is winnable. GB isnt a great team and have many isues of their own. Their OL is horrible and that can play into our hands. Going into the game with the PATS we had the 11th ranked pass d in the NFL with no pressure from our DL. If we get some pressure on Rodgers we can forcee some turnovers and put points on the board.
Like I said, Wouldnt put a dollar on the team, but this game is very winnable.

Robert, I'd buy that for a dollar!

Did anyone watch PTI yeaterday?
Michael Wilbon said the Bucs were the worst football team he has EVER seen, including some of John McKay's teams.
I agree. How did we fall so far so fast?
Posted by: jjbjeff | November 05, 2009 at 03:41 PM
Robert, the passD has been better since Talib had the three pick game, but they are still not good.(Nobody is throwing at Talib right now)
The only reason our passD isn't rated near the bottom of the league is because teams can run at will against us and when they get the big lead on us they run more than they throw, naturally.
The #11 ranking is not an indication that our passD is good by any stretch of the imagination.(Except for Talib, who has stepped his game up)
Posted by: jjbjeff | November 05, 2009 at 03:45 PM
JJBJEFF, sorry but u are wrong. Talib's int's dont even go into the equation for Pass D. Talib has played well, Barber has played well xcept against Buf, and TJ has been a monster since returning. So to say our Pass D is bad is very wrong. Anyone in the NFL will get beat when the QB has 6 secs to throw. When our DL has pressured a QB ( Was and Car) our DB's have forced TO's.
Teams can run at will against us because of our front 7. That has nothing to do with our DB's. Actually, I have seen TJ close some holes really quick in the run game. So our Defense has been pretty bad and inconsistent, but our DB's have played pretty well considering what has been done around them. You say no one is throwing at Talib and that is great considering he lines up against the other teams number 1.
There is validity to that ranking. Numbers are numbers and they dont lie. There are teams that give up huge numbers on the ground and in the air. Im not saying we have a great secondary, but if they get help from our DL we have seen what they can do.
Posted by: Robert | November 05, 2009 at 04:03 PM
JJBJEFF, what im saying is if our front 7 can do their job against a horrible OL this week we should have a chance to win. If we pressure rodgers we can force some TO's and really take alot of pressure off Freeman. Will it happen? I dont know, but if it does we will be in this game.

OAR, I think I would rather have a McDouble for my dollar.
Posted by: Robert | November 05, 2009 at 04:06 PM
JJBJEFF, when you hire a new GM, a new rookie HC, a new DC, 2 new OC's, play 3 QB's in 8 games, and cut all your vets to get younger and rebuild is how you fall so fast. If this team makes some good draft picks this offseason they will be able to climb back up pretty fast.
As a fan I would rather be where we r than franchises like thew SKINS who spend all this money on high profile FA's every year and still only have 2 wins.
Posted by: Robert | November 05, 2009 at 04:09 PM
JABJEFF< I know Morris said tht our Offense is going to have to carry us to a win, but the Packers are 4th in Total Defense. That's what Im tring to get to. To beat GB our Defense is going to have to make plays and take some pressure off Rodgers.
Posted by: Robert | November 05, 2009 at 04:16 PM
Freeman not Rodgers
Posted by: Robert | November 05, 2009 at 04:16 PM
We'll see how good they are against the Packers.
I guess you didn't see Ronde Barber get absolutely dominated on every play by Wes Welker in London?
Since Talib had the three picks nobody has thrown at him, but that is not a factor? OK.
I've got some stats here for you Robert, since you love these stats and remember they "don't lie".
Among NFC teams the Buccaneers have had the fewest passes attempted against them.(this is the ONLY reason they aren't ranked worse in YPG allowed, your phony #11 ranking)
Last in number of 40+ yard plays allowed.
Second to last to Detroit in opposing QB efficiency(rating)
Second to last to Detroit in TD's allowed.
Worst in yards allowed per pass.
They have given up twice as many TD's as they have INT's.
We all know the D-line isn't getting it done, but to say that we have a good pass-D is not an accurate statement.
I have to wonder what the hell you have been watching this year, and has Raheem been getting into your KOOL-AID supply, or what?
Posted by: jjbjeff | November 05, 2009 at 04:24 PM
Don't mock my name, dude. I don't play that silly BS.
Posted by: jjbjeff | November 05, 2009 at 04:26 PM
jjbjeff, you hit on one stat that is blatantly obvious to anyone that watches the Bucs D and that is the last place finish in 40+ yard plays allowed. Good secondaries don't get scorched like we have on the ground/air. Better pass rush would help but some of the blame falls on the secondary. Some of the blame falls on the linebackers. I guess we have a bend but also break philosophy. If the Bucs secondary is good, I would rather have a lousy one.

Hey Robert, go back and read,
Bucs rookie QB Josh Freeman to grip and rip in first NFL start.
There are some posts for you there. Don't be like DR and post stupid stuff and do not comment back.
By the way Robert, Tampa secondary does suck, whenever a team want to make a big play on them, they do it. Happened all season. GB is a big play team. And you think just because you get pressure on Rodgers that,s going to stop him? Rofl. HE WAS SACKED 9 times last game and still had 284 yards and 3 tds. What makes you think he can't pick apart the Bucs. Hell the Redskins made 2 big plays on the Bucs when they needed to. One was on Tailb who picked him 3 times. Moss did a double move on him and burned him. Looked at big td Brady threw to Aiken (or whatever his name is) when Tampa all the pressure on Brady. Rodgers has the highest passing percentage in the league. Its nice we all want the Bucs to win, but it is not happening this week. GB is going to stomp a hole in us bad. They will make too many big plays on Tampa. Driver is going to kill us. 0-8 here we come. Robert stop sniffing glue. And Read that other post you Ratard. <----- (hangover)

I can't wait to see how great our pass-D is this week. One more stat real quick. They are #15 rated pass-D, not #11. NFL.com

Dez Bryant going to next years draft who should we pick?
A: Suh
B: Bryant
C: trade a few spots down and pick Berry
Posted by: willem | November 06, 2009 at 02:55 AM
A: Suh
If you could take the Haynesworth, or Reggie White, or Warren Sapp of this years draft, JUST DO IT!. He is already an NFL player in the college ranks. He'll bring on the double teams and still cause trouble in the backfield, which will make the rest of our line start to look good again.

JJBJEFF, first off, I wasnt mocking your name. Just like u I am a grown man and wasnt MOCKING your name. So if you are that upset over your name being written you can come take it up with me. I work at Station 19 in Pasco.
To football. When your Defense is on the field the whole game numbers are going to get put up. Since you like to research numbers take a look at our time of possession and take a look at our field pos to others, and take a look at how many plays teams r running compared to us.
JJBJEFF, I said they were 11 BEFORE the Pats game. Havent checked since. So they may be 15th now, but JJBJEFF it's alright you have some valid points and I never said our PASS D was out of this world. I played football my whole life. It's obvious to anyone that has played the game that our real problem isnt our Secondary, its our front 7. Does our secondary get beat? YES. We allow more time for a QB to throw a ball than any other team in the NFL.
JJBJEFF, every one of those stats you put up which were QB EFFICIENCY, yards per pass, and 40 yard plays are all stats that reflect the amount of time the QB has to throw the ball and find his guy. That starts with your DL my friend.
GO BUCS, U may think u r funny saying someone sniffs glue my friend, but come say that to my face. Like I told BJJEFF who said not to mock him. I am at Pasco Station 19 my friend.

Whatever, dude. You DID mock my name. And you did it AGAIN! Only a classless fool could possibly mess JJBJEFF up! It's so easy! The only reason I brought it up was to let you know I don't appreciate your lack of class.
Am I that upset that I'm going to come and confront you at work? HA HA HA!
That is the funniest thing I've ever heard. Grow up.
I could care less where you work. The last thing I'm going to do is worry about some mental headcase who wants to mock my name in a blog.
That's fine. You go on the list of totally class-less posters that like to mock other peoples names. I have no problem with that. It's your reputation that takes the hit.
Go ahead and blame the D-line for the secondary being among the worst in the NFL. The secondary gets paid to cover receivers, and if you think all of those completions were because the QB had all day to throw, you are mistaken.
You are obviously mentally unstable. You posted FIVE CONSECUTIVE replies to my first post when all I did was state the obvious. The stats I provided validate my observations on the field.
I have to wonder, do you even watch the games, or just look at the stats, and say "Oh, look we have the #11 pass-D".

JBJEFF< u know what im sorry dude. I had a tough day at work yesterday and lost a patient. I was frustrated and stupid. U made some good points and I let emotions that had nothing to do with BUCS get in the way of my thinking. I know I made alot of post, but it wasnt to mock u, I just had a bunch of diff things that kept coming into my head, but Im sorry dude.
Posted by: Robert | November 06, 2009 at 01:38 PM
Just know I wasnt trying to mock your name. I know I kept talking to you in the posts, but that was for feed back not to mock, but I can see where u would think i was mocking you.
No hard feelings. I let other emotions get to me and it had nothing to do with you.

Robert, I accept your apology. Everyone has bad days and it is no big deal. Hope everything is OK now.
