Another endorsement for Tom Lee..thats is wonderful!!!

if it wasnt for all the stupid fireman there nancy would have won.

And if Johnson was not in the primary Lee would have had 153 to Sinks 130 just doing the math and it adds up in Tom Lees favor ...should we be suprised.

If it wasn’t stacked with Republicans, it might actually mean something.

Straw polls predicated on how many tickets/votes your campaign account can buy is meaningless. Politics in the Park is traditionally a Republican hob-nob. Stats break down like this…

75% Republicans, R-candidates and staffers
25% Democrats, D-candidates and staffer
5% General Public

Now, rework the numbers with this reality, and rethink it’s validity.

No need to rework the numbers they speak for themsleves.

… to a very limited mind and Kool-Aid drinking group of “R” lemmings.

Ummm, hello st pete times..why did you single out mrs bedinghaus? What about the others. If you guys don't cut this out, you will build a sympathy vote for her!

10:39

I don't think so.............
hard for you to handle.

I think think the Kool-Aid stand is set up on your side!!!

10:31
Yeah, it is just a popularity contest, whoever buys the most tickets wins. I don't put much stock in the "straw polls" More effective on a voter is the chance to meet the candidates, which the venue provides the opportunity.

11:09

Do you not think that those who meet the candidate at this so called "popularuty contest" don't go back and talk about it to others.

And that promotes the candidate also.

Bedinghaus is a mess of an unqualified judicial candidate. The Times piece on her was factual and fair. She just needs to go away.

I'll assume it is not a good thing if they're getting the spelling of your name wrong this late in the Dist. 54 race.

Has TG gotten within 50% of CC4G in any straw poll. I know they are pretty worthless but come on, seems like the grassroots would have some kinda impact on atleast one poll. I guess it will be the same in 2 weeks.

11:17

umm yeah, I think that is the job of all those campaign staffers anyways. Seriously, how many general public was there without being invited & given a free ticket from some campaign group to vote for their candidate.

I just don't think we should take these straw polls to seriously!

11:33,

Be care, we just might have to start calling you “anothersmartblonde”, and you’re getting it. About 12 to 15 general public were in attendance. The rest, as you put so correctly, were staffers paid to attend and vote. Absolutely meaningless poll.

Why on earth is this post titled "endorsements"?! A straw poll at a Chamber event in which only participants who paid $15 to get in can vote is about the furthest thing from either an endorsement OR a representative sample you could ask for. These things are meaningless. Chambers are awfully clever...it's a great fundraiser. "Let's make the campaigns spend a bunch of money buying tickets to our event so that they have people here to vote for them."

You must be a democrat if you think $15 is expensive.

12:19,

Perfectly stated… just as an elite, pompous ass republican would. You’re right though, $15 is nothing to you guys… hell, you drop three times that on Dale Mabry every night.

11:33
Meaningless polls, I bet it would not be meaningless if your guy had won, but hey that does not seem to happen much.

What if my guy is a girl... idiot.

Isn't Pinellas Lee territory? Shouldn't he be winning by as much, if not more than Johnson has in Central Florida?

12:53

SENSITIVE ....OK SO ITS A FEMALE.....IDIOT!

10:31 -- You said to rework the numbers and they ended up being 105%...

So...you definitely are a prime example of why we need the FCAT

God, Rod can't even win the BS polls.

1:46

thats great! I guess he/she can't add.

11:22

How do you know it's factual?

Tom Lee math...75 plus 25 plus 5 equals 100? No wonder the line of people he screwed is so long Senate Staffers unite!

2:11

you have got it wrong check the 10:31 post.... or this is a Randy Johnson or a Sink staffer either way you all are barking up the wrong tree....

10:22, I'll be sure to let the local FD know you think they are stupid. Later when your house burns down and they don't show up, don't be surprised.

1:46,

Congrats!… you win the distinct honor of being the first one to figure it out… although not completely. I’m saddened that it took you over three hours to do it.

And that, my dear intellect, is why FCAT is a miserable failure. You can color in the little circle ok, but trouble actually working the numbers in a timely fashion.

Get a life. It doesn't take three hours to figure out your simple difficulty with math...some people have jobs and a life where they don't live vicariously on the blog. Oops, I probably should use monosyllabic words because you probably failed the language part too.

--you bad with math

--get a life

--dems will lose

How is this a poll stacked by the GOP when Dems won several of the races?

Can we see the results of the rest of the judicial and school board races? I know it doesn't "mean" anything, but it "suggests" a lot.

10:21 -- doesn't "suggest" a thing, except who wasted the most campaign money buying tickets.

School Board #2

NANCY BOSTOCK 183
Mary Russell 70

School Board #3

PEGGY O'SHEA 137
Lew Williams 86
and three other candidates under 20

School Board #6

LINDA LERNER 137
Carl Neuman 78
Jack Killingsworth 63

School Board #7

MARY BROWN 126
Jennifer Crockett 58
and three others under 50

What about judcial races? I heard Day swept it (thank God, but who's suprised?) and I heard that Kidder barely beat Bedinghaus. Any other results announced?

Nto that anyone seemed to notice but in a Republican-heavy poll (from the accusations on here) Carl Zimmermann won in district 48? You can say the Republican vote was divided up among 4 candidates, but the Republican vote was divided up in other races and at least one of the candidates came out the clear winner.
