Foley's pension
Former U.S. Rep. Mark Foley will receive a pension of $32,000 a year after the age of 62. If Foley takes his pension early at age 56, he will receive $22,400 a year.
The calculations are based on formulas for House members with almost 12 years of service, according to the National Taxpayers Union, which tracks congressional pension issues.
Pensions are adjusted each year based on cost of living.

He should wait until he is 62

That seems real low for someone who was making over $100K. You sure about that figure?

He shouldn't get a dime. He is a pedophile, and all he should get is 20 years behind bars.

He'll be living west of I-95 in a single-wide eating Sunday dinner at the Golden Corral and drinking Pabst while he fishes for dinner off the Ft Worth pier during the week.

Foley is a pederast, not a pedophile, and Frank is a freakin idiot.

Hey I think pensions should be small, the govt spends enough on people not working. Pensions should be abolished, and give them 401K plans like the rest of us americans.

After what WE, the taxpayers, are paying for his bogus "treatment" I think he'll have used up his pension.
hey Repubs ... do you feel SAFER now knowing where your hard-earned tax dollars are going?

Hey Republicans, are you feeling safer yet?

Hey Hey Republicans, do you still believe EVERYTHING that George W Bush and his minions tell you?
if one says yes - just so you know - you are an idiot and not very well thought of.

If he is charged and convicted under Federal law, will he still be eligible for a pension? This should not be.

fyi ... Foley gets no punishment ... REMEMBER, REPUBLICANS ONLY PUNISH THE CHILDREN ABUSED

Let's recap:
First, corporate America receives welfare from our Republican controlled government.
Then they rob average Americans of their health insurance and pensions.
The next logical step would be to reward a sexual predator with a decent pension.
Come on, do you really expect Freaky Foley to settle for dial up when the GOP can feed him children much faster with FIOS?

He should give all his $$$ to the Democratic Party. I gurantee in a couple years, when his name dies down, they will take it. They need all the money they can get and won't care whom they get it from...
Have you seen the FL Dem Party of Florida building in Tallahassee compared to the RPOF building... Hilarious.

O.J. Simpson got to keep his NFL pension even after a civil judgment finding him liable for the double homicide.
BTW - Foley will be old news by Nov. 7th - especially if Jolie/Pitt adopt a new kid or we find out whose sperm really impregnated Anna Nicole Smith.

What Foley did is wrong no doubt. But don't "blame" Republicans for all the problems. Democrats are like cats...you know they're doing it you just can't catch them at it.

I have recently heard a rumor that Charley Crist and Tom Foley were roommates when they were in the legislature. Could this be true>

In addition to his other problems, it seems "Mark Foley" has an edifice complex too...
