For Martinez, it's always campaign time
Sen. Mel Martinez won't be on the ballot in November, but one wouldn't know it by the schedule he keeps. Florida's junior senator has embarked on an aggressive, mostly behind-the-scenes effort to campaign and raise money for fellow Republicans across the country.

Senator Martinez had nothing to do with Congressman Ney's problems. Jim Davis will be a private citizen practicing law in Tampa by May 2007 after a big loss in November. He is ranked 419 out of 435 in the US House for effectiveness, not exactly someone who is qualified to lead Florida.

I am a lifelong Republican of 37 years. I have voted for a Democrat only twice in my life (having voted in every General Election since I was 18 years old) Once I voted for a local Dem. Co. Comm. candidate and this year in vote by mail just last week against Katherin Harris who is the biggest liar in American politics today. I will similarly vote against GOPer Mel Martinez when he is up for re-election in 2008. His votes on immigration alone are enough reason to send this political pillsbury dough boy back to Orlando. His catering to special interests will continue to erode the our nation. He needs to campaign full-time because his votes in DC are terrible. I for one will never vote for Slick Mel! The GOP needs to wake up and smell the coffee. Covering your own a#@ and sacrificing principles is NOT what our country needs or voters want. Shame on you Mel, Katherine, Jeb, Ney, Hastert, et al...
