Katherine's first endorsement?

Republican U.S. Senate candidate Katherine Harris proudly displays on her campaign Website what we think is her first endorsement in the general election.

The Polk County Democrat , published twice weekly, supports Harris - the hometown candidate - over Democrat Sen. Bill Nelson.

"Like many Polk Countians, we have known her since childhood, and have watched with pride as she worked her way up the political system,'' according to the editorial. "That is a perspective that few others have."

So far, Nelson has swept the newspaper editorial boards, including the St. Petersburg Times, the Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune, circulating in the area that Harris represents in Congress.

AWESOME KATHERINE! The tables are turning. I can just feel the momentum changing in my bowels. That was a SWEET endorsement. You go girl!

My best friend's sister's roommate's grandmother reads that newspaper.

given the illiteracy rate in polk county, this endorsement doesn't add up to much.

One is the lonliest number.

GO BILL!

I think ALL repubies are bipolar. Mean, crazy, nasty, lying, destructive...

I am happy for her. She finally has one for the scrapbook.

was that endorsement written by a three year old?

Clearly a charity endorsement... is Polk County where the infamous 'Felon List' came from ?

It's a shame we have to read other newspapers to find out what's going on in St. Petersburg... like the Miami Herald reporting the recent Sembler hundred-thousand-dollar fundraiser to Joe Lieberman.

Or this slightly dated article from Illinois --- Where was Charlie Crist when the shredding party was going on?

When Katherine was told about this endorsement, she responded "There's a Democrat in Polk County?"

Yeah, because no other paper has been watching Katherine Harris.

I'm sure she was almost sane when she was younger.

I think she was also endorsed by Maxim Magazine.

Yeah. A two time bribe taker is consistent with the integrity of Polk County. Loyal Frisbee's family needs to check him in.
