Poll: Nelson 56, Harris 30
Hispanics prefer her. So do voters in southwest Florida. But working women shun her. And independents. And even if she won over every undecided voter in Florida, U.S. Rep. Katherine Harris would still be down by double digits. More here

This is the one of the biggest butt-kickings in Florida history. Way to go Harris!

Way to go Harris Staffers. Fired for incompetence, you fire back with defamation and filth. The biggest butt-kickings in Florida history are yet to come. But come they will.
Posted by: | October 28, 2006 at 09:00 AM
Hispanics prefer her? She wants them all deported. Does not make sense.
I am surprise she polled so high. I suspected 25%. Guess the lunatic Christian base, party hangers-on, and idiots are in greater supply than I thought.
Posted by: | October 28, 2006 at 09:10 AM
I also read she is supported in SW Florida. Who the hell are the idiots leading the party RECs down there? They need to be the first to go after November 8th. No Republican in their right mind can support her lunacy. Jeb doesn't support her. Carol Jean doesn't suport her. The RPOF doesn't support her (money talks my friends). W doesn't support her. No one supports her.

9:00AM news flash for you:
KH has NEVER fired anyone. She makes your life as miserable as possible and then you leave. It would be more respectable and fair to fire someone than to treat staff, incompetent or otherwise, in the passive-aggressive stab you in the back way that she does.
Posted by: Irish Heather | October 28, 2006 at 09:18 AM
and Anders now has a girlfriend so he doesn't support her either.
Posted by: | October 28, 2006 at 09:19 AM
I guess she will be pole dancing in Bartow soon.

Can you imagine the contents of this book?

I just read the rebuttals in the SP Times. The one chance that Harris had to respond to the Nelson endorsement by the paper, she blew off completely. What is going on with her staff? Come on Katherine, write those rebuttals. Where are they? Can't your press sec get off her butt and start writing. We are days away from the election.

http://www.pensacolanewsjournal.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20061028/OPINION/610280301/1020
The Pensacola Journal endorsed Nelson and did not mention Harris' name once.
Posted by: | October 28, 2006 at 09:34 AM
Irish Heather - Blah, blah, blah. You enablers got schooled.
"Fired", "Bailed", what's the difference. Her loss is your all's loss.
Posted by: | October 28, 2006 at 09:34 AM
No one is writing a book because that would be political suicide.
No one would trust you ever again. Look at how people talk derogatory about Jim Dornan and Ed Rollins for all their backstabbing they did to her. Even though she deserves it, it is unprofessional and makes everyone in your future endeavors wonder if you too will stab them in the back in a similar fashion.
Posted by: BigDaddy | October 28, 2006 at 09:37 AM
Not my loss sweetpea. I have NEVER worked for her, NEVER would, NEVER will. Ms. Harris is receiving retribution for her pasand current treatment of others. Ironic, isn't it?
Posted by: Irish Heather | October 28, 2006 at 09:39 AM
Campaigns should always respond to editorials when given the opportunity. This is Campaign 101. Missed opportunities from day one to present day. Craaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazy.
Posted by: BigDaddy | October 28, 2006 at 09:42 AM
i have to believe someone will write a huge article about Harris or maybe a small book. That book would sell better than the 13 copies of the one she wrote that were bought.

9:19, Anders has a girlfriend????????
Posted by: | October 28, 2006 at 09:46 AM
Hello Adam Smith,
Is it true that you and the SPT gave the internal blog records and threads to FBI investigators?
Posted by: | October 28, 2006 at 09:52 AM
do whatever it takes to put repubies in jail.
Posted by: sleeperdem | October 28, 2006 at 09:58 AM
so Adam, is it true? Did you release blog records to the Feds?
Posted by: | October 28, 2006 at 09:59 AM
'nother news flash - she doesn't fire by saying "get out." She empowers the useless to either straighten up and do the right thing or do the other right thing and leave. Then the ones that leave poison the ones who replace them and the cycle repeats itself. Her mistake was hiring teenagers and malcontents.
Posted by: | October 28, 2006 at 09:59 AM
9:52 what is your point?
Posted by: | October 28, 2006 at 10:00 AM
9:52 that is the most ridiculous thing I have every read. WHo are you trying to kid?
Posted by: | October 28, 2006 at 10:08 AM
9:59 is wrong. KH doesn't empower anyone. She has no management experience whatsoever.
Posted by: | October 28, 2006 at 10:52 AM
sounds like 9:52 is nervous that the FBI is investigating everyone including people that "know" the illegal activities of Harris and her staff.
Posted by: | October 28, 2006 at 10:53 AM
I hope the St Pete Times doesn't give the FBI records and reveal "sources."
Posted by: | October 28, 2006 at 10:54 AM
To put it to rest, Adam Smith should refute it immediately.
Posted by: sleeperdem | October 28, 2006 at 10:55 AM
I can assure all of you. Anything written in this blog can be topped by Harris at a moment's notice. She is the definition of truth is stranger than fiction. I guess the SPT has also turned over records to the Florida Baptist Convention (Hallelujah!!! Pass the Loot).
Posted by: | October 28, 2006 at 10:57 AM
I will wager that Harris will say at least two lies or major exaggarations tomorrow on "Meet the Press." We are all going to watch the train wreck tomorrow.
Posted by: | October 28, 2006 at 11:00 AM
All Senator Nelson has to do is be calm and senatorial and he will win by 20 points.
Posted by: sleeperdem | October 28, 2006 at 11:01 AM
Nelson by 40 points. Harris 27 and Nelson 68. Biggest blowout in FL history.
Hey Katie, where is that $10 million. We want you to spend it all. Once Anders departs for Sweden with a hot Longboat babe, you will be upside down on a pole in a gentlemen's club in Bartow begging for George Washingtons.
Posted by: | October 28, 2006 at 11:06 AM
10:00am and 10:08am, clearly the same person:
My point is this, (since you are mentally slow but physically quick to strike your computer keys), bloggers have made written some serious statements on here that indicate they have direct knowledge of felonies and unethical offense committed by Rep. Harris. The word is the FBI sought and received the internal blog records and threads from SPT staff. Clear enough for you? Or should I explain it again s-l-o-w-e-r?
Posted by: | October 28, 2006 at 11:06 AM
all the repubies deserve jail time!
Posted by: sleeperdem | October 28, 2006 at 11:07 AM
11:06 For example? I have not seen any.
Posted by: | October 28, 2006 at 11:08 AM
11:06
First there has to be a request by the authorities.
Any request would be denied by the SPT.
Then there would be a subpoena which would be challenged by the SPT in court.
Believe me, we would read about it in the SPT.
Conspiracy theories are fun, but they never have any legs.
Back to Roswell for you.
Posted by: | October 28, 2006 at 11:11 AM
I sure hope you are correct
Posted by: | October 28, 2006 at 11:12 AM
SPT would fight anyone trying to obtain their internal docs and then put the fight on the front pages of the paper. Stop smoking that Gainesville Green. Or at least pass it around so everyone gets the joke.
Posted by: BigDaddy | October 28, 2006 at 11:15 AM
BYE BYE KATHERINE.
YOU DESERVE THE CRUSHING DEFEAT YOU ARE ABOUT TO RECEIVE. ALL THE PEOPLE YOU HAVE TREATED POORLY THROUGHOUT YOUR POLITICAL CAREER ARE VOTING AGAINST YOU, AS ARE THEIR FRIENDS, FAMILIES AND COLLEAGUES. MANY OF YOUR FORMER STAFFERS HAVE BEEN ACTIVELY WORKING AGAINST YOU, AS YOU HAVE ACTIVELY WORKED AGAINST THEM. YOUR PASSIVE-AGGRESSIVE ATTACKS, YOUR BI-POLAR HISTORY, AND YOUR BACK-STABBING IS ALL COMING BACK TO YOU FULL CIRCLE. YOU DEMAND LOYALTY BUT GIVE NONE IN RETURN, AND YOU ARE ABOUT TO RECEIVE LIKE JUSTICE.
DING DONG THE WITCH IS (almost) DEAD!!!
Posted by: | October 28, 2006 at 11:19 AM
Everyone at RPOF wants Harris to implode and politically dies and go away forever, but not affect the other races, especially Charlie.
Posted by: GOPer | October 28, 2006 at 11:22 AM
What in the hell is with all the caps all the time?
Posted by: BigDaddy | October 28, 2006 at 11:32 AM
Remember "Irish Heather" with her trademark "Ding Dong the witch is dead?" There's been an attention deficit lately and she needs some.
Posted by: | October 28, 2006 at 12:04 PM
katherine harris is largely responsible for sticking that monkey in the white house back in 2000. i will never vote for her or for her trash party, the lying bunch that stuck our country into that horrible war in iraq, that same bunch which will never allow their own family members to fight that war.

Privacy of the blog records:
If the feds want to know who is blogging they can w/ little trouble. I know that my identity could be easily resolved. Every time we post a blog entry the unique IP address of our computer is recorded (a set of four integers). The St. Pete Times has these numbers with each posting. The next step is to go to Bright House Networks, Verizon, AOL, etc.. and find out which subscriber is using those IP numbers.
If a private entity wanted to sue you for defamation, then the St. Pete Times would likely challenge the supoena. However, if the government wants the info, then the St. Pete Times and the ISP will likely turn it over without incident.
Unless you are a sophisticated hacker, presume you have no anonymity with these posts.

I may have started the "ding dong" chant but the all caps weirdo is not me. NOT ME! lol
Posted by: Irish Heather | October 28, 2006 at 02:34 PM
Do not count Katherine out. She has numerous offers to make infomercials for makeup and underwear. Could become QVC host and has been invited to come on "What Not To Wear" to discuss the white stocking outfit she wore to the debate.
Posted by: | October 28, 2006 at 02:49 PM
Katherine Harris is one of the oddest politicians in American history.
Posted by: Paul D. Harvill | October 28, 2006 at 02:53 PM
She will be working the third shift pole dancing in Bartow.
Posted by: | October 28, 2006 at 05:42 PM
Charlie Crist is more like Barney Frank than Jeb Bush. The only difference is that Barney Frank is honest enough to have come out of the closet, while Crist is still hiding. Don't be fooled by the (R) next to Crist's name on the ballot. Fellow Evangelicals, we much elect a good Christian man, Jim Davis, to be our Governor, not a phoney, liberal Charlatan named Crist. God bless.
Posted by: James | October 28, 2006 at 06:49 PM
I just saw Crist's negative ad criticizing Davis' "empty chair" for the 179th time. What about Crist's empty chair in the Attorney General's Office up in Tallahassee? Crist has missed more work the past 18 months than Davis, while both have been on the campaign trail.

There have been countless individuals of great talent, integrity and political acumen on Harris' staff. Many are no longer there because she is tone-deaf to advice given to her - most of it which would have been to her benefit. Belittling them was a sport in which she relished the chance to engage.
Many of these folks simply have moved on and kept their mouths closed for various (and good) reasons. Harris, however, never fails to blame staff in public and the press for the stumbles during her campaign. If I had to bet, the first post-mortem written about this campaign will be published under the name Katherine Harris.
