Bush Wants Action from Ober
Gov. Jeb Bush on Monday said he shares the "unbelievable frustration" of the family of Martin Lee Anderson that the investigation of the teenager's death in a state-supervised Panama City boot camp is still not resolved.
Bush made an extraordinary direct appeal to Hillsborough State Attorney Mark Ober, who's in charge of the case, to wrap up the investigation.
"This has taken way too long. And Mr. Ober, if you're watching, please, let's get this resolved," Bush told reporters.
He said he has tried not to intervene in Ober's investigation but that he too believes it's high time the case was resolved. The long delay continued to fuel conspiracy theories that the state is trying to bury a scandal for as long as possible.

Hey,
I enjoy reading a few blogs every day and today was your day. Interesting take on things are always found in every blog. I'm always researching to find out what the world is thinking. Good stuff and very entertaining as well.
Keep it up.

Mark Ober,
I agree with the Governor. If the investigation is not completed, then please devote more resources, like you would with a first degree murder case.

Well, I want you to remember, the Tampa Bay area had a VIDEO TAPED homeless man beating by two or three teens. they were identified and of course, arrested immedicately tried and convicted. All less than SIX MONTHS>
What we have here in the Boot Camp death? Some friends of Crist and Jeb, Law Enforcement that promote candidates. The autoposy shows suffocation, and they all beat them.
The family is right, if they were anyone else but law enforcement, they would have been arrested. It seems interesting that the St Pete Times and west coast papers have not printed the fact that the INSPECTOR GENERAL(s) of DCF, two attorneys white and BLACK said the policemen in the tape were in violation, and they have spent over four months in Human Relations Board.
Yes, a dumping ground that Bob Metty, john Penetra, Sandra Padron, Robert Crouch et all spent time in, determined NONE of those people were whistleblowers. This is what Jeb set up and took control away from Jack Shreve, who had no problem not doing extra work, in 1999.
Well, the BLACK whistleblower atty from the DCF Inspector General's office has retained Marie Mattox, whom I assisted with email evidence from my PSC record request and subsequent investigations against harold McLean (now OPC chief) Lila jaber Braulio Baez et all at the PSC. An internal investigation demoted some employees, and others were shown the door.
Alex Sink controls the state's Risk management which has evidence of 1 of 4 whitleblowers (according from their records) employees being terminated for telling the truth.
How many other lawsuits , unjustly paid for by the state, are going to find perjury charges? Jeb was concerned about the Governor's office. Alex will control the contractds and the Risk Management evidence. And with the obstruction review of the advocate office of crist's AG office friends floating into another review, I dont think Gallagher will HELP Jeb cover up things anymore, do you?

Undue political pressure. Ober was picked to do a job and Jeb is out of line publicly calling for him to make something happen.
If ex-Gov Jeb has a problem with the job Ober is doing on this case, then he should have picked another SA to do the investigation.
