Crist Gets a Boost from McCain

Every time Arizona Sen. John McCain visits Florida, he gets a hero's welcome. It happened again on Monday as the maverick Republican rallied about 150 Republicans in Jacksonville to get out and vote for Charlie Crist for governor.

McCain predicted that on a tough night for Republicans Tuesday, two "shining stars" on opposite coasts will be California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Crist in Florida. McCain predicted that Crist will become an overnight national figure if he succeeds.

So, am I hearing that Republicans have Jeb and W in the Panhandle, McCain in Jax and Charlie in South Florida?

Wow, talking about covering all the bases. Impressive.

Agreed in McCain statement. Lots will be looking to learn from Florida.

Looks like Davis loves Karl Rove. That is a little weird huh Jimbo?

"Turd blossom" Rove couldn't help himself from defending Bush at Charlie Crists's expense. Tony Snow's spin will not stop this story.

CNN has the video footage. Sorry, Charlie!

3:55 your message screams "I'm Jim Davis and I'm desparate" to voters. Definitely a turn off to voters.

3:59 - it's not 3:55's message or jim davis's message. it is turd blossom's. cnn has been replaying his statement about every half hour.

Go karl Go!

Is this your famed 72 hr plan? slam all the candidates who won't be seen near you boy?

It's going to be a pretty lonely and long last 2 years Turd Blossom.

Good Bye permanent Republican majority. The Third Reich lasted longer than this.

Charlie Crist is going to need a boost from someone. The final Survey USA poll out last night says the "momentum in the race is now with the Democrat" Jim Davis.

Democrats Have Something to Say About Florida Governor: In an election for Governor of Florida today, 11/5/06, 48 hours till polls close, Democrat Jim Davis has caught Republican Charlie Crist, according to a SurveyUSA poll conducted exclusively for WFLA-TV Tampa, WTLV-TV Jacksonville, and WKRG-TV Pensacola. In September, Crist led by 8. In October, Crist Led by 13. Today, at the wire, Crist leads by 2, 49% to 47%, sufficiently within the poll's 3.8 percent margin of sampling error that the contest should now be re-classified as a toss-up. Momentum is with the Democrat, though neither SurveyUSA nor any other of the 8 other pollsters working this contest have shown Davis with a lead in 3 dozen opinion polls released since May 2006. Hold on to your hat. Among women, Crist had led by 9, now tied. Among men, Crist had led by 18, now leads by 4. Among older voters, Crist had led by 11, now tied. Among voters under age 50, tied. Among voters 50 to 64, tied. Crist leads among whites, and the Republican will need a lot of white votes to win. Davis leads among minorities. This final SurveyUSA poll assumes 82% of Florida likely voters are white. The more minorities who vote, the tougher it will be for Crist to take the Statehouse.

Are you liberals ever going to see the writing on the wall? SurveyUSA, which has repeatedly polled FL-9 10-18% different than internal pollsters, is the ONLY poll showing this race even close.

Every other poll shows Crist up between 7% and 14%.

The last 6 polls are as follows:

Mason Dixon, crist up 7
NYT, Crist up 14
Zogby, Crist up 10
SurveyUSA, crist up 2
Rasmussen, crist up 8
Strat vision, crist up 7

Avg, Crist 50-42

If you take out surveyUSA, and take out NYT poll, the 2 outriders average is: Crist 50-42. Same thing.

Like I said, when will you see the writing on the wall?

McCain is trying very hard to woo Crist for support for his 08 presidential run. he will need all the help he can get, and a Governor's machine can be monumental in a crowded primary.
I hope Rudy Giuliani is working Crist as hard. Go Rudy!

Good luck to all tomorrow .We have ejoyed aggrevating many of you from Plantation Fla in Blue West ?Broward. ..Thats our job.We hope Jim wins..Crist is alot better than Jeb.Thank goodness all the candidates are attorneys that can read the constitution ..Florida is at risk vote your conscience ..Happy polling. Imadashell needs a vacation.
