Crist: I will serve every Floridian

Charlie Crist struck a note of unity in his remarks, starting off thanking Jim Davis for his gracious phone call. "He ran a spirited race, he is a credit to his party and Florida is better for his service," Crist said.

Then he reached out to Davis' supporters: "We all come together as Floridians. No group is above another....I will serve every Floridian with all my heart."

Crist also gave thanks to God, his parents, his family, Gov. Jeb Bush and President Bush; To U.S. Sen. Mel Martinez,"You are the embodiment of the American dream;" Thanks to the Kottkamps, Connie Mack and the campaign staff.

"Some campaigns have an architect. This campaign had a maestro," Crist said of George LeMieux, his campaign manager.

George, you are the man. Enjoy your night!

What will Crist do to improve Florida's terrible highways?

I'll have a ham on rye. Hold the mayo!
