Crist's 'Grand' Finale
Through last week, Charlie Crist collected $18,843,273.81 in hard-dollar campaign contributions. He has received another $3.2-million in in-kind donations. Most of that is from the Republican Party of Florida.
That does not include the party's expenditures on his behalf for TV ads. Nor does it include the soft money raised by a series of third-party committees supporting Crist. The Republican nominee for governor will wrap up his record-setting fund-raising pace with one final event Thursday night at Signature Grand, a huge banquet hall in Davie. (For candidates, the contribution deadline is midnight Thursday).

Adam, Joni, and Steve -Come on, yall can agree that CC and Davis are lame ducks and will do nothing for this state. We need TG back. Yall loved TG before he was told to became "Moses". Hook us up and call TG and just see what he thinks about the possibility of running a last 6 day write in campaign. It will at least give you something interesting to write about.

Charlie Crist will be our next Governor. Most dont understand that this debate was not for the decided Ds and Rs partisans, that post on this blog, it was for the undecided I's and crossovers that saw a clear and friendly leader and communicator in Crist and saw a complainer and as one respondent put it "whiner without his own ideas" in Davis who kept following charlie's lead and started ever statement with "and Charlie Crist". The independent feedback from the non political partisans was that they liked Crist. Now those people dont post on blogs and are not usaully contacted by the media so you dont get their feedback. For those that track these post debate responses that talk to a cross section as I do it was very surprising that those that fall into the undecided or Independent block so strongly favored Crist post the debate. Many i'm sure will spin away, and many of these folks are likely responding purely on partisan emotion, but from my analyses, Crist will maintain or open his lead and will win.

Obviously we havent seen any polls since the debate and such, but a gambling site called websense has Crist very high chance of winning. This site has far more information than we have. Over the weekend Crist was at 83, and Davis was at 14.
After the debate, Crist has now jumped to 91, and Davis fallen to 9. This means things are going BETTER FOR crist.
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2006/governor/fl/florida_governor_race-54.html
You can not believe it if you want, but this site in the TN senate race had Ford over 60, and suddenly dropped him below 40 before a SINGLE poll came out showing Corker ahead. At that time Ford was still averaging a 1.3% lead. Now Corker averages a 3.7% lead.
Looks like Crist is sitting pretty well.
Posted by: | November 01, 2006 at 04:12 PM
Wow. And after all of that money, Charlie has moved exactly 0% in the polls and still cant get over 50%.
Posted by: | November 01, 2006 at 04:17 PM
4:11 or may I call you George Lemiux - It is kind of sad that you are stuck posting on the blog and not with your candidate. Have you guys really fallen that far behind? Man desperation mode has kicked in. Are you guys going to hire Mike Murphy now too? TG for Governor -Write him in.

4:17
When Crist is leading on avg:
49%-41.5%, that really means this:
Crist 54%
Davis 46%
In the Primary Crist lead Gallagher about 55-30%. he won 64%-34%.
Posted by: | November 01, 2006 at 04:19 PM
4:19
I could be wrong, but my guess is George Lemiux knows how to spell "don't."
Posted by: Boca Grande | November 01, 2006 at 04:23 PM
4:19, sounds like you are spinning. First of many no doubt. Crist will win.
Posted by: | November 01, 2006 at 04:28 PM
Hi liberals, 4:12 here
No liberals are even trying to spin the chances on a Crist victory increasing 8 points since the debate. Wow, cant even counter the facts.
Im suprised they wouldnt come up with something to say Davis will pull it out in the last day or two.
Posted by: | November 01, 2006 at 04:31 PM
Davis wins this!
Davis 99%
Crist 1%
HICKUP! *&&^^%$#%^*()((^^&*((, ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

the sad thing is whoever wins will ignore "the other side" If Crist wins I would at least for him to listen to some Democrat ideas, If Davis wins I would like for him to listen to some republican ideas...either way whoever wins will be governor of the state and not their party.

Joe Redner for Gov! Rhonda could be his LG.

Adam -
You are so biased it makes me sick. I posted one little comment on my opinion that CC is gay and you delete it.
Yellow Journalism at it's finest. Way to go Pravda West!!!
Posted by: | November 01, 2006 at 04:48 PM
Adam - Time to give TG a ring. Lets get his thoughts.
Posted by: | November 01, 2006 at 04:59 PM
To all fellow Crist campaign staffers and volunteers in the Tampa Bay area. Were up in Pensacola going door to door and the reception is quite cold. Registered Republicans are slamming the doors in our faces. I though the memo you sent us this morning said you were effectively suppressing the revelations that Crist is gay. Well your doing a very poor job of it. Everybody up here knows. You people are not earning your money. You won't answer my phone calls. What's going on? I heard the Gallagher/Vass outing of Crist and Jordon might be running on the evening news tomorrow night in Miami. You guys have totally botched this campaign. Heads will roll in Pinellas if you can't get this under control ASAP. Call me as soon as you get this. We need a new strategy.

Adam, run the story, man. C'mon, the people deserve to know the truth about Crist before Nov. 7.
Posted by: | November 01, 2006 at 05:01 PM
5:00
Somewhat funny, Ill admit.
Too bad for the Davis fans its not true.
Posted by: | November 01, 2006 at 05:11 PM
You Democrats are really sad. How do you think your gay 'friends' feel about you using this issue in your desparate last-minute scare campaign?
I mean, I know you don't care about them, they're just a voting block to you, but you may want to think about the cost/benefit of alienating such a core constituency by using this homophobic rhetoric.
Posted by: | November 01, 2006 at 05:14 PM
Adam- End this nonsense about who is gay or not and run a story about how TG is entering the campaign as a write in.
i think it might make a great piece.
Also, 5:11, 5:14 and who ever else: I wonder if McGreevy would have one had he come out earlier? My bet is he might have and people might have embrassed him. But that does make me think: You know have you ever seen McGreevy and CC in the same place? They do kind of look alike.
Posted by: | November 01, 2006 at 05:21 PM
George Lemiux doesn't have time for little punks like you so Brett and myself will continue with this blogging stuff till the end of the election.
Thank you,
Albert Martinez
P.S. George did comment that he shits bigger thing than you.

Adam and others thank you for thinking of me as a write in vote. It means a lot to me and my beautiful family that people still stand behind our beliefs and the direction we would have taken Florida.
I tried more than once to bring Florida together and enjoy a future that the rest of the country would look at with envy and desire. I was unable to reach that dream and have since moved on and looking forward to the future and all the possibilities it will bring my family and me.
Thank you again for all your support and prayers.
God bless,
Tom Gallagher
Sorry almost forgot, Davis sucks and I’ll be voting for Charlie. I hope that I will be able to come back and help as a consultant on this insurance problem.
Posted by: | November 01, 2006 at 05:39 PM
and of course, we have to remember that the republicans changed public matching funds into welfare for candidates with wealthy friends. this certainly bolstered Crist.
Posted by: | November 01, 2006 at 05:44 PM
5:39 -CC must pay his interns well for you to be that creative.
Posted by: | November 01, 2006 at 05:48 PM

I'm down here in the MIA. The wheels are coming off the Crist campaign. Bruce Carlton Jordon is holed up in a Miami hotel. The media swarm is building.

Still no emails from Crist about the debate. Looks like Crist Campaign is so flustered even their emails are stuttering today. See excerpt below.
Charlie Crist’s Record on Crime
· For more than a decade, Charlie Crist has fought to ensure criminals are held accountable for their actions through strict sentencing.
· As a state Senator,
o He sponsored the bill that brought chain gangs back to Florida and sponsored the landmark “Stop Turning Out Prisoners” Act to require criminals to serve at least 85 percent of their sentences.
Posted by: | November 01, 2006 at 05:59 PM
OOPS. The HTML characters that were spread throughout the email from Crist campaign did not show up here.
Posted by: | November 01, 2006 at 06:00 PM
Early voting started last week. Tens of thousands of absentee ballots have already been returned. The general election starts in less than a week. At this juncture, the reputable media has done its job and is content to allow the voters to decide who to elect. The media is not going to assist desperate Davis bloggers in their attempt improperly to influence the outcome of the election.
If you really want to help Davis, follow Gene's lead. Get to work on the GOTV effort, or raise $$ prior to the Thursday midnight deadline.
Can't you hear it? Tick Tock goes the clock...
Posted by: zenator | November 01, 2006 at 06:01 PM
Yes, Mr. Crist has reaped what he's sown. I just got off the phone with an Evangelical minister up in the panhandle and he said on Sunday he'll inform his congregation of 2000 of the dangers of electing a closeted gay Governor.
Posted by: James | November 01, 2006 at 06:02 PM
You mean the media has done it's job of supressing the truth about Chralie Crist from the electorate of Florida before the election. They should be ashamed of themselves, so should Crist and his entire campaign, who are all complicit in this fraud being perpetuated on the good people of Florida. I pray the truth gets out. We don't need a Jim McGreevey situation here in Florida. Charlie just come out now, you might still win if you do. You'll have the sympathy factor on your side if you come out now. Do the right thing, Charlie. Don't be a phony. And Adam, run the darn story for crying out loud. We live in a free country, supposedly a democracy. An honest free press is one of the main guardians of our democracy. Do your job and please report the truth about Crist before Nov. 7. How about in the Sunday, November 5 edition of St. Petersburg Times, on the front page. Think about it Adam, look into your heart. I pray you do the right thing.
Posted by: James | November 01, 2006 at 06:09 PM
so there's a sworn statement by a woman who has no more than hearsay from another person about Crist...and this proves Crist is gay?
your ignorance, bigotry, and hatred is disgusting
Posted by: Omega83 | November 01, 2006 at 06:16 PM
Talk about a lame duck. If Adam doesn't tun the story (Adam you have the tape, please run the story and let the people decide) and Crist gets elected, he's a lame duck disaster waiting to happen from the get-go. So basically a vote for Crist is a vote for Governor Jeff Kottkamp.
Posted by: James | November 01, 2006 at 06:29 PM
Omega83, I have no hatred for gays. But I have a problem with a gay "social conservative" GOP nominee for Governor of Florida who opposes gay marraige and gay adoption. What a phony.

As long predicted. The Davis campaign have brought in Washinton DC smear people to run a Davis homophobic campaign. Note all the Davis DC paid consultants repeating this on the blog as expected. Desparation has set in the last week. When out of money their plan was to get the homophobic smear campaign to gear up on the blogs and try to get in the traditional media. Note how frustrated they are since the traditional media is not joining in the smear.

Just look at all that money and think of all the good it could have done for children with no medical coverage or classrooms without materials. This system is so very wrong. It is no wonder our government is as corrupt as it is when it is accepted policy to buy elections.
And just think of all the deep pockets to whom Charlie now owes allegiance.
Posted by: The Rat Takes the Cheese | November 01, 2006 at 06:45 PM
Yep, Davis and his "bamboozle blacks Homophobic tour" has his people getting the message out. They sure are busy spreading hate on the blogs.

Last i heard it was Davis who was beholden to special interest
Maybe Davis is such a No Show in Insurance legislation to help floridians because he dosen't want to upset his special interest Insurance Friends that were the MAJOR donors in his congressional campaign, whats the matter Jim, dont want to upset your special interest friend that got you elected a couple of times in your congressional races.
Jim Davis D-FL 2004
Finance/Insur/RealEst $87,950
third largest special interest contributor
Lawyers & Lobbyists $91,256
largest special interest contributor
-----------------------------------
Jim Davis D-FL 2002
Finance/Insur/RealEst $79,150
largest special interest contributor
Lawyers & Lobbyists $63,100

Charlie is clearly asexual. Isn't that weird?
Someone should ask him if he is asexual. That would make a great headline.
"Candidate asked about his asexuality".
Posted by: | November 01, 2006 at 06:50 PM
Charlie Crist has $5 million from insurance companies, plus another $5 million from land developers as part of his $30 million campaign war chest. So Davis has a little school teachers' money behind him, big deal. Would you prefer a Gov. Crist backed by Big Insurance or a Gov. Davis backed by school teachers who know Jim will help improve Florida from it's current ranking of 49th in the nation in education? The choice is simple. Mr. Beholden to Special Interests and in-the-closet Crist, or good family man backed by school teachers Davis.

http://www.strategicvision.biz/political/florida_poll_110206.htm
Davis is starting to gin up his base, but Crist support has not waned at all. Closer race, but still a major uphill climb for Davis. The other 2 cabinet races are very close.
Crist 50%
Davis 44%
Linn 1%
Lee 44%
Sink 41%
McCollum 46%
Campbell 40%
Bronson is up about 10%
Good news for Crist is he is holding his support. Good news for Davis is that he has finally shored up his base. 6% deficit in 5 days, I doubt he can climb that with the superior GOTV that the republicans have in Florida.
Gene, I know you think they are extremely biased, but you know their last poll was right in the middle of all the other polls average, including Rasmussen. Actually Rasmussen had Crist leading more than strategic vision last week.
I trust their polling in this state, as I do Rasmussen on their polling average. Rasmussen does such small samples that their polls vary 3-4% in just a few days.
Posted by: Poll Dancer | November 01, 2006 at 07:03 PM
OH yea, one more poll.
RCP average for nelson-harris
Nelson 58%
Harris 32%
Strategic Vision poll
Nelson 59%
Harris 33%
Pretty accurate I would say.

Your assumption rests on the belief that Crist is in fact gay.
You have no factual basis nor proof to substantiate your claim, and until you do your drivel on this blog is no more solid than the dump I just took in my toilet...
It should be noted that I had a Grilled Stuffed Burrito from Taco Bell today for lunch

Guys,
Go to: www.newtimesbpb.com
Pretty explosive stuff.
The Crist-Bruce Carlton Jordon plot thickens.
Two individuals gave sworn depositions regarding conversations they had with the alledged lover Jordon.
One was some guy named Jay Vaas (pilot for Jeb Bush, Crist, Gallagher, Bronson and other top politicos).
Apparently, Gallagher knew about it but never pulled the trigger prior to the primary election.

Ask the former Assisant Attorney General of Florida who in fact KNOWS Crist is gay. He worked with him for a couple years. Everybody in the AG office in Tallahassee knows Crist is gay. So does Crist's campaign staff. That's why their getting paid overtime to stop the bleeding on the blogs. BTW, in south Florida things are heating up. Heard on the way home from work on the radio that Crist is gay. The DJ was saying there's absolute proof. They went on about it for about 10 minutes.
