Geller and Crist

Senate Minority Leader Steve Geller and Incoming Gov. Charlie Crist were once in the same political party. That would be the United Seminoles.

Geller said in his speech to the Democratic Caucus on Monday that the two went to FSU together, and Geller "recruited Charlie to run for student government on our slate. For at least a while Charlie and I were both members of the same political party."

Also, the day after Crist won the election, Crist and Geller talked, and Crist asked Geller if he was going to be in St. Petersburg any time in the next few days. Geller said: Nope. Crist said he would come to Geller then. Last Monday, Crist and incoming LG Jeff Kottkamp flew to Broward County and talked with Geller for 45 minutes in Geller's law office.

"Charlie, Jeff, you could not have been more gracious to me, than you have, and I thank you for that," Geller said to the pair who were sitting in the Senate Chamber listening to Geller's speech.

Charlie being nice to a Democrat? Wheres the story here?

Charlie's problems are not going to come from the Democrats. There are more than a few ticked off GOP legislators.

If Charlie has an agenda, other than the anti-murder bill, he'll have a tough time getting it through.

10:36,

Why are the GOP legislators "ticked off"? What do they want that they are not getting?

The Loser

Congratulations to Florida Democrats for electing the first Democrat governor since Lawton Chiles!

Sounds like a victory for Bi-Party cooperation. Good for Crist AND Geller.

They have actual political parties at colleges?

Running for college president, Joe Smith of the BYOB party versus John Doe of the Keg Standians....

steve geller... never met anyone who loves the sound of his own voice so much. that and donuts. jelly donuts, cream-filled donuts. donuts.

all crist needs to do to make geller happy every day during session is to send over FOOD goodies and let him talk uninterrupted for 15 minutes.

nodding your head in agreement every 5 minutes gets you bonus points.

8:21, another way to keep Geller placated is to have your supporters hire him as a lobbyist.

Anyone know a kid named William Wallace in Pinellas county? I need to see him again.

Downtown. I know who you are. That boy is mine, stay away.

Who is William Wallace? Interesting handle, Well Endowed.

Maybe we can recruit Nancy Riley to run against Dimatteo to save our party.

I am told if enough people speak to her, she may be convinced.

Calling all Republicans, please call her at work..Coldwell bankers on 4th street north.

Not only were they members of United Seminoles, I was the Chairperson of the student party that Steve Geller abandoned with an election day attack ad in the Florida Flambeau.

But that is ancient history with no residual hard feelings. I hope for the best with both.

Geller v. King, who wins?
