President Bush to visit Pensacola
On election eve, President Bush will headline a Republican rally in Pensacola, the White House announced.
Bush will speak at a Florida Victory rally at the Pensacola Civic Center Monday afternoon. He then will fly to a rally in Arkansas and will end the day at a rally in Dallas. He will spend the night Monday night at his ranch in Crawford, Texas, where he will vote on Tuesday.
In Pensacola, Bush is likely to find a supportive audience (he won Escambia County with 65 percent of the vote). It also will give him an opportunity to fire up the Republican base.
Update: A senior administration official, speaking on Air Force One, said the event Monday was intended to boost Republican turnout.
"We're focusing his energy on places where he can best turn out the vote for Republican candidates. These are all races that are close. These are all races that are likely going to come down to turnout. And so that's the nature of all these visits," said the official, who was not identified in a White House transcript.

What a wasteful trip. I wondered who talked him into that. The panhandle is a wasteland and even if they voted, their vote count is minimal.

Well, 3:45, obviously Mr. Bush isn't a very smart man, which explains why he got US stuck in Iraq.

Look at this. http://www.electharris.org/news/Read.aspx?ID=127
They changed Harris' degree to an MPA. Good start toward the truth (at least it is no International Trade and Negotiation which was an outright lie.)
"After receiving a MPA from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government"
Well, it ain't quite right yet. She received an MC-MPA "Mid-Career Masters of Public Administration". Her sheepskin does not say MPA, it says MC-MPA.

I hope when he comes he notices all the blue tarps that are still present in the Panhandle from the hurricanes.
Maybe he will start requesting that tarps be made red instead of blue?

He's coming to thank Jim Davis for not voting against him in 2000.

Did Davis Miss One Important Vote?
Posted Nov 01, 2006 at 09:07 PM
Updated Nov 01, 2006 at 09:39 PM
this blog entry is a corrected version of an earlier entry that incorrectly suggested Jim Davis didn’t vote in the 2004 election:
Charlie Crist has been accusing Jim Davis of missing votes in Congress, and Davis has denied that he missed any where his vote would have made a difference.
But tonight, there are indications that Davis missed one vote important to Democrats—the 2000 presidential race.
In response to a question from the Tribune Wednesday night about his voting record, Davis, reached on his cell phone, didn’t answer, instead referring a reporter to his campaign press spokesman.
A few minutes later the campaign called reporters to inform them of a Davis campaign conference call to held at 9:30.
Voter records accessed by the Tribune Wednesday night indicated that Davis has voted regularly in elections except 2000.
We’ll update you as soon as the conference call is over.

We better all be filling up our tanks on the way to the polls. Gas prices will go back up as soon as the election is over and the Republicans have fooled us again.

5:11 You are an utter moron. It ain't about respect. THE ELECTION IS IN 4 DAYS YOU DUNDERHEAD.
You are delighted that he is coming to Pensacola? First of all, it is a town not much better than a rat's ass. Second, it is already Republican and they vote. Why the hell is he wasting his time in a backwater swamp that also has very few votes and no tight races? As Mr. T says, "Answer that fool".

wonder if georgie visited his "buddy" while in colorado today ...
Ted Haggard, one of the most prominent evangelical pastors in the nation, resigned today as president of the National Association of Evangelicals amid allegations that he carried on a three-year sexual relationship with a male prostitute.
Haggard, founder of the 14,000-member New Life Church, has denied the accusations but said in a statement released by the church today that he could "not continue to minister under the cloud created by accusations made on Denver talk radio this morning."
He has placed himself on administrative leave pending investigation, spiritual counsel and a decision by the church's board of overseers, the church's legal counsel said.
Another bigot has fallen. Hear the angels singing hypocrits!

I work for a Pensacola television station. The talk here is the Repubs chose to bring Bush to Pensacola because alot of conservative congregations in the pandhandle are not going to be voting for Crist. so they're trying to rally other repubs to make up for the shortfall. recent polling we've done has Crist doing poorly for a repub in northwest florida. he's only up 5% here, should be up by 15-20%. The Daryl Jones Air Force Colonel effect could explain some of it too. bottom line is the Crist campaigns struggling in the panhandle.
Posted by: | November 03, 2006 at 04:10 AM
Why would Crist be doing well in the Panhandle? He has never clearly answered the abortion question, supports civil unions, and wants to increase spending. Hellooooo!
Posted by: | November 03, 2006 at 07:37 AM
I live in Pensacola and my husband and I are proud to be able to go and see him tomorrow. We live in Pensacola which is home of the "Blue Angels" and this is a wonderful place for him to come. If you dont like him, then don't go see him!!!! Put your thoughts out through your votes, not your nasty words!!
