The Crist-Sink Connection
More than student days at Wake Forest University link Charlie Crist and Alex Sink, the only Democrat elected to the state Cabinet. "My fellow Demon Deacon," Crist said of Sink Wednesday morning.
Crist's girlfriend, Kathryn "Katie" Pemble (who joined Cyndie Kottkamp and one of Crist's sisters in standing with the transition team announced Wednesday) has known Sink for years in Florida's banking community and considered her a mentor. Pemble is executive vice president and chief operating officer of the Bank of St. Petersburg.

I think its a brilliant move...Crist will need Sink, and she is not so naive as to not realize that fact. Build the bridge early and work together. The days of Republican dominated Florida politics are over. And thank God!
