Can Mike Huckabee win?
This is as unpredictable a presidential primary as they come, so why not? See here.
"Huckabee's a remarkable fellow and an amazing communicator, " said Orlando attorney John Stemberger, who is neutral so far but last weekend hosted Huckabee and the less charismatic Sam Brownback at the Florida Family Policy Council annual gala dinner. "He's the kind of guy that could really change the face of the Republican Party."

Credibility Gap:
Didn't citizen Stemberger say the same thing about Tom Gallagher? And what is Brent Doster's take on all this?

Get a life, no chance, just another waste of time by the times.

rev. huckabee should find a lucrative pulpit gig in an exurban megachurch. let him persuade his flock that the vegan lifestyle is not satanic. i hope to never see another evangelical in the white house again.

Doesn't Huckabee believe that Adam and Eve rode to church on dinosaurs? Is he circumcised? Was he still a virgin until his wedding night? Does he eat ham and shrimp?

explorehuckabee.com sounds like a porno film with dildos.

You all are crude. You are either democrats or republicans attacking the man who will be our nominee.
Posted by: | May 28, 2007 at 12:34 AM
Your nomineee? Are you out of your mind? Huckabee seems to want to be our national sunday school teacher.
Let him take his schoolmarmish preaching to the evangelicals full-time. God knows they certainly could use it. It is utterly astounding to see such petty republican minds on this blog take a snooze during an unjust pre-emptive invasion on a different country, and then to have a hissy fit over "crude" language. What a stupid little hypocrite!

does the rev. huckleberry have any family members serving in iraq? OF COURSE, NOT!!! i wonder which country republican jesus wants him to invade and destroy.

Gov. Huckabee should be a great candidate. He's one of the most conservative candidates in the race, but comes across as moderate, despite his ideologies. He's a governor, he's also a minister.
I myself picked him as a dark horse to sneak into the top tier.
I was horribly, horribly mistaken.
His fundraising isn't so much anemic, as it is hemorraghing. He didn't even break $1 million in the first filing.
He has been reduced to little more than the Dennis Kucinich of the GOP primary.

Huckabee Schmuckabee. At least Gomer Pyle, who he resembles, wasn't a schmuck.

Posted by: | May 29, 2007 at 08:46 AM

He supports the FairTax, so that's cool with me. Couldn't care less about his religious views.

huckie is a nice guy
well-spoken
but lets face it, folks, someone sooooo ignorant not to understand that the first eleven chapters of genesis are myth -- a specific thological term, not "untrue", by the way! -- is not suitable to be dogcatcher, let alone president.
does he also belive the planets and sun revolve around the earth?
the earth is flat with four corners?
does he eat pork?
shellfish?
wear clothes of two fabrics?
com'on, get serious!!
Posted by: | May 29, 2007 at 10:07 AM
the "tolerant" democrats sure love hating christians.
Posted by: | May 29, 2007 at 10:18 AM
"hating" 'christians'?
nah.
have difficulty taking seriously people who cannot distinguish between "myth" (a serious theological term -- look it up and learnn something, maybe for the firt time in your life) and foolishness and then expect us to think they are acceptable for public office...yeppers.
EVERY DAY, BUBBA, EVERY DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted by: | May 29, 2007 at 01:56 PM
hey 1:56 let's "learn" you something, a religious test was specifically left out of our constitution - you know, that document - so anyone is qualified for office based on requirements laid out in the constituion - it is up to you and to me to decide individually what is "acceptable" as you say - so go polish your darwin fish on your pre-owned yugo and leave the rest of us who appreciate the constitution alone.
Posted by: | May 29, 2007 at 03:46 PM
aint talking a religious "test" just a brain test:
stoopid is as stoopid does...if ya wanna go with a guy too ignorant to understand what his "belefs" imply, go for it
remembering, of course, those same folks believe "colored" people are inferior to white folks
women are inferior to women
its o.k. to beat your child
catlhkis arent christians
jeee-yews have horns growing out of their foreheads
and on and on and on...
'cause its all in the BIBLE!!
CARRY ON, BUBBA!!!!
