Citrus County Democrat Suzan Franks filed paperwork on Monday to run for the seat that Dunnellon Republican Nancy Argenziano will vacate to serve on the Florida Public Service Commission, says the Star-Banner here. She was press secretary for former congressional candidate John Russell.

All she did was help close the Republican primary. She doesn't have a chance!

You might all be right, but take a look at the district stats. You all might be surprised. With a good campaign strategy, she could make this interesting....and it doesn't hurt that she is a woman and that Baxley, Corcoran and Dean will divide the primary.

Nancy Argenziano, Ginny Brown-Waite, Karen Thurman. Who was the last guy Senator serving Citrus county? Curtis Peterson?

What are the numbers for the parties, independents and other parties?
Typical voter turnout in the district for primary elections?
Any other analysis?
Thanks in advance.
No, I am not considering the race, nor am I - yet - backing anyone. Need to know more about the candidates and issues in the district.
Rep. Dean though I believe was endorsed by Sen. Argenziano, which I receive with great weight.

I guess now it's time to start up Democrats for anyone but Susan Franks?

How do you poll a special election?
Who will actually vote in June?
I for one will be at the beach.
See you guys in November.

Guilty by association. John Russell is a mad man - dangerous to say the least.

John Russell is a good guy. Right on most issues. And this district is overwhelmingly Dem and Ind by registration. Was represented by Dem before Argenziana. She likely would be very good. Anyone know anything about the other Dem?
