Cocky Charlie Crist | Main | An Israeli leader and the St. Pete Times forum »

Does he walk on water, too?

100_5945It's not every day that you see a headline that says "Christ visits Jerusalem" -- in the Jerusalem Post, no less. But there it was on Wednesday morning, on Page 5 of the popular Israel daily, with the misspelling that continues to bedevil Gov. Charlie Crist.

The "Christ" misspelling actually occurred twice, in a headline under a photo of Crist and Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni (now wouldn't you think THAT would be a harder name to spell?) and again in the text under the photo.

Crist took it in stride. When U.S. Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen of Miami told the governor, "you should love that," Crist said: "What are you gonna do?" Another wag in the Florida delegation, upon seeing the headline, said of Crist: "No wonder his poll numbers are so high."

Let's hope his visit goes better than last time.

Is there any reason why todays calendar is not posted on the website?

http://www.flgov.com/calendar?month=5&year=2007&day=30

9:52AM

I clicked on the link and there was no calendar, why is the calendar not viewable?

Haven't you been paying attention... Jesus didn't use a calendar.

10:45am

you are right so if Jesus did not use a calendar why should Governor Crist use a one. How many people work in the scheduling office anyway, looks like government waste.

Learn to use a computer, people. The link above leads directly to the calendar.

What a scoop! As far as I can tell, this is the only American news outlet reporting on the seconding coming.

This website is great, the calendar is now posted. . . half the day is over . . .but THANK YOU for at least showing up for work.

P.S. As always "the people" saved a copy of the screen so that people would not be accused of lying once again by staff. All these problems show poor management who is in charge of this operation anyway?

10:59AM (Governor Crist Staff)

We, "the people" as always have made sure to save a copy of the calendar so that we would not be accussed of lying once again by staff, a picture is worth a thousand words and thank God for computer forensics.

P.S. who pays your salaries?

Kindest regards,

"the people" :-)

I guess the prophets were correct: no one will know either the time or date of the second coming.

Wait a minute… I thought Moses had the staff?

Charlie's more like the anti-Christ instead of the real one. Beware of false prophets.

I know I’m gonna get hammered for this… but… did anyone else catch the NILF (News I’d Like to F**k) segment of the Daily Show last night… it was a freaking riot, and nailed it dead on the head.

I don't think the post above called them whatever Imus said, it just questioned the qualifications of many of the individuals who are currently working in the Govenor's office. I think the public wants to know that those who are being paid with public funds are truly qualified for the positions they currently hold. The question has been raised over the last 5 months so are the people cuurrentlt working in the Governor's office qualified, the people want to know.

11:11, that was great and, so far, sadly underappreciated.

Oh, the biblical references one can weave, when we blog to deceive. Hear me oh, Israel. This thread is a waste of time.

Am I missing something?

1:35PM

Sounds like the same false prophets that told Gallagher he was going to be the next Governor of Florida and in turn told Katherine Harris she was to be the next Senator.

WE LOVE YOU KATHERINE! THESE LIBERAL SODOMITES WILL ROT IN HELL FOR THEIR WAYS!

what unqualified people are running around? I know first hand that they have a top notch staff over in the Governor's office.

2:09PM

I can think of 12

we all know that gallagher is christ b/c every time you think his political career is dead he rises again.

They left out "Anti-"

For Crist's sake! Give it a rest! Geez!
