Rudy and The Donald
Rudy Giuliani zips into Palm Beach country Saturday for a fundraiser with Donald Trump. Last time we saw him, at a Charlie Crist fundraiser in October, Trump was talking up his respect for both Giuliani and Hillary Clinton. He hasn't yet endorsed for the general election so don't be entirely surprised if Hillary doesn't make it to Mar-A-Lago soon too.
Trump and Giuliani, of course, have some history together.

I hate to shatter the illusions of you "morality" republicans, but Giuliani will promise you anything to secure his nomination. If he is elected president, he will not be one of your group.

I am very disappointed in Rudy and how he keeps sticking his foot in his mouth talking about abortion.
I want to like him but he is making it difficult.

Maybe the Donald will share some of his hair with Oedipus Rudy!

word is that the event is going to fail miserably.
No interest.
Bad weekend (mom day)
price tag too high.

Whatever The Donald wants, we Floridians should follow his leadership. I'm glad he like Rudy and Hillary and all of you should unite with this great guy and his great team.

11:07 - That was hilarious! Follow Trump's leadership?! You are too funny.
Unless of course you are serious. That would be a problem.

Great news 10:49
Florida is Romney Country anyway.
Gov. Romney has the most experience to take DC apart, rebuild it and provide the required optimism and leadership for our party.
Mitt Rocks!!

"Follow Trump's leadership"
Um..... yeah, ok.... um.... how's that condo sale going in Tampa?

The Trump combover may well be a weapon of mass destruction. Send it to Iraq. Its surging follicles may be of some use.
Posted by: | May 09, 2007 at 11:56 AM
the trump comb-over is very much like the bush surge campaign - a futile attempt to stop the inevitable.

10:49 -- Exactly what I am hearing. Poor planning:
"word is that the event is going to fail miserably.

12:30 - I fell out of my chair...LOL!!!!!

11:50 you are the moron;
Every news outlet in the country said Mitt Romney won the debate, but maybe you are a Hillary supporter. YIKES!
The Rominator was the dominator:
"It would be terribly irresponsible to pick a winner of Thursday night's Republican debate. So I will. I think Mitt Romney won."
- Roger Simon, The Politico, May 3, 2007
And again from National Review
Who Won the First GOP Presidential Debate?
May 4th, 2007
By T. J. Walker
Mitt Romney won Thursday night’s debate by every objective standard of style and substance. First, the style: At six-feet-two-inches tall with perfect hair and impeccable tailoring, Romney was Ronald Reagan incarnate. Romney was George Clooney/George Hamilton cool (complete with the tan) surrounded by a dorm-room full of average dudes. Whether it was Romney’s genial laugh, his upbeat persona, his non-arrogant confidence, or his complete mastery of head, body, and hand motion, he couldn’t have been more at ease if he were attending a backyard family barbecue.
Regarding substance, Romney appeared to be the smartest kid in the class without sounding cocky. He rattled off more foreign-sounding names in six minutes than George Bush has in six years.
When asked a tough, negative question on why he has been running away from his own health-care record, Romney gave a textbook example of great political message control. Rather than answering the question of “Why are you ashamed of your health-care record?” Romney repositioned the question to “Can you tell us how you feel about your health-care accomplishments?” Obviously that was an easier question and he hit it out of the ball park.
for those of you who only read the SPT blog, that would be A Home Run.

Romney's Debate Non-Bounce
Many pundits proclaimed Mitt Romney the victor in last week's Republican debate cattle call at the Reagan Library, but it seems Romney's performance did not win over many primary voters.
A USA Today/Gallup Poll taken in the three days after the May 3rd debate and released Tuesday showed Romney claiming 7 percent of Republican voters, which is a two-point drop from the last Gallup survey on April 17.
Even worse, Romney was trailing not one but two non-candidates, Fred Thompson (13 percent) and Newt Gingrich (8 percent). With Gingrich not included in the sample, Romney did only slightly better, at 9 percent.
Perhaps the most troubling indicator for Romney's candidacy in the Gallup Poll were his favorability numbers. Over the last two months, Romney's favorability rating moved up just one point (from 23 percent to 24 percent), while his unfavorability rating went up three points (from 19 to 22).
One could argue it's still very early and Romney is still largely an unknown quantity. But in the past two months, Romney has gotten a fair amount of positive free press for winning the first quarter money race and standing out in the debate, and he's been up on the air with high gloss TV ads in a few of the early primary states. And yet the needle is hardly moving on the macro level.

We'll see in 6 days after the Fox debate 2:39

People will see Slick Willard... and they will reject him... The big winners in the next debate will be Huckabee, McCain, and Thompson (for the simple fact he wont be there)

Here’s a little diddy for you repugnant freaks…
Donny and Rudy – sitting in a condo they can’t sell
One doesn’t need it and the other wont use, hair gel
First comes contributions, then comes paybacks
The comes prison and a dude named Bubba hot on their tracks
Damn, that sucks so bad, I’ll even admit it…

Mitt is first class. The top 3 will be the only ones to rise on the 15th.
Fred Thompson has yet to announce and each day that he waits, it will get harder for him.
Thompson has 2 young children, he should wait for a VP offer. He does not appear to have the energy the job demands either, much like Senator McCain.

are there any HUMAN BEINGS running for the piggie nomination?
so far, all i see are 'bots attempting to channell ronnie raygun!!

Reject Slick Willard...

If Mitt Romney is the best we can do we are in serious trouble. He has NO foreign policy experience; he has only had 4 years of executive experience in a very small ultra-liberal state; he managed the Olympics - Whooppee! how many other Olympic managers do you see running for president.
I'll have to admit though that he does have a flair for hair. I think he should open a chain of hair salons. He could call them "The Soft Furry Mitt."
