Taking aim at Corcoran
Rockie Pennington's Committee to Protect Florida was not done with Richard Corcoran. A radio ad playing off an old hunting incident was ready to air. Listen here.
According to a 1998 report in the Citrus County Chronicle, Corcoran was fined $800 for shooting a sea gull and other non-game birds. At the time, he said the information was disclosed by his opponent in the House race, Nancy Argenziano.
"It's pathetic," said Corcoran, adding that he had never been hunting before.

WTF?

It was obvious to the wildlife officer who ticketed him that he had never been hunting before after he killed all those protected birds. Hell, he even killed a seagull. What a putz. They had the copy of the ticket. He was on a sugar junket with his special interest south Florida friends.
Recently Corcoran sent out a mailer depicting himself as a hunter with rifle and dog. Can you believe it?

Lets stop beating a dead horse. Or more appropriately shooting a dead bird!

3:47 Thats a good one
Posted by: | May 14, 2007 at 03:50 PM
Rocky sure had it out for him- I wonder why?
Posted by: | May 14, 2007 at 04:18 PM
This isn't over. There's going to be blowback.
Posted by: | May 14, 2007 at 04:23 PM
Yep, Baxley will benefit from this big time. Dean screwed up and his association with Pennington will bring him down.
Posted by: | May 14, 2007 at 04:30 PM
Go Baxley !!!
Posted by: | May 14, 2007 at 04:35 PM
Agreed. Pennington is bad news.
Posted by: | May 14, 2007 at 04:44 PM
I think the $185,000 collected was a payoff to Cocoran not to return to his state job and allow him the opportunity to go and work on the Roomney campaign. . . Marco you are so transparent.
Posted by: | May 14, 2007 at 04:49 PM
4:49
Marco is going to endorse Giuliani not Mitt the Morman.
Posted by: | May 14, 2007 at 04:51 PM
Who cares who Marco endorses.
God I love the mormons, though. We've gone from the Democrats and Free Love in the 60s - to Republicans and Big Love in the 2000s.
If Big Love isnt Free Love, then who pays for the wives? Riddle me this...
Posted by: | May 14, 2007 at 05:02 PM
there is more to this...
Posted by: | May 14, 2007 at 05:48 PM
I love the commercial. I am a pilot and flats fisherman. Those damned water birds are always stealing my bait and running into my airplane. I would like to shoot some of those damned seagulls myself. All they ever do is to beg for food, crap on people and hang around garbage.(Just like politicians). But I do live in the district, am a registered Republican and I am sure as hell going to vote for Corcoran now.
Posted by: | May 14, 2007 at 06:08 PM
good luck with that vote 6:08

How much did the Elections Commission fine Pennington the last year for breaking the law?
Posted by: Removal from office | May 14, 2007 at 07:17 PM
Word is that all of the stuff that was coming out on Dean is still coming. Not smart of Pennington to antagonize someone with nothing to lose anymore now is it?
Posted by: Removal from office | May 14, 2007 at 07:21 PM
lol
the ad "just because he has Tallahassee friends"
then the disclaimer at the end with the 527's address in Tallahassee
what hypocrite piece of sh!t made this?!
Posted by: | May 14, 2007 at 07:24 PM
Pennington better watch out. Nobody does revenge like the Corcorans!
Posted by: pumkin' | May 14, 2007 at 07:47 PM
It does sounds like there is more to this Corcoran quitting story. NFL teams don't quit after the 1st quarter because they are down 21-0, giving the excuse they are doing it for the league as the players hop in their Cadillacs and go home. If I were a Corcoran supporter I would expect a better explanation. Corcoran probably already has given a better explanation to his supporters. If there was something embarrassing floating that Corcoran did not want publicized, he should state he is quitting the race for personal reasons and leave it at that. The way he walked away from the election doesn't make sense even if he was down in the polls. If there is nothing dark hanging out there, Corcoran should make that clear.

Dean goes down. He can thank Rocky and Mark for that. GO BAXLEY!!
Are you guys still going to keep doing Baxley's legislative report letter?
Or continue to be the sleaze you are?
Posted by: | May 14, 2007 at 08:08 PM
Talk about working both sides. Nancy will love these guys when they help their friend Baxley take out Dean!
Posted by: | May 14, 2007 at 08:09 PM
Weak add, mail was better, in fact the radio ad is just plain stupid
Posted by: | May 14, 2007 at 08:54 PM
Charlie Dean for the Florida Senate !!!
Posted by: Paul D. Harvill | May 14, 2007 at 08:56 PM
post 747 get real. you guys are the losers.
Posted by: | May 14, 2007 at 10:12 PM
8:09 Baxley wishes he could get Nancy's support. He does not have a following in senate dist 3. Dean connects with the people.
Posted by: | May 14, 2007 at 10:14 PM
i will say that corcoran dropping out helps baxley. Not sure if that is enough to push him past Dean though.
one thing for sure, the democrats didn't exactly put up tough competition.
Posted by: Alex | May 14, 2007 at 10:27 PM
Even if Paul D. Harvill lived in the district you know he would not be voting for any Republican candidate.
Paul, Suzan Franks is calling.
Posted by: GOPRider | May 14, 2007 at 10:29 PM
Baxley doesn't even live in the District yet. Dean has much higher name recognition. It's funny how everyone says nasty things about Rockie and Mark--they seem to win a lot of races.
Posted by: | May 15, 2007 at 12:31 AM
People in the district don't know or care who Rocky is, they only know that Charlie Dean has been in public service working hard for them for a long time.
Posted by: | May 15, 2007 at 07:22 AM
Not a good week for Marco Rubio- former chief of staff disses Marco's tax plan - then quits.
Posted by: | May 15, 2007 at 09:53 AM
Hopefully the people in the district will parreicate Dean, and see Baxley for what he is.
And BTW, someone should print all the election fines Pennington had to pay last year for illegal stuff.
It was pretty significant.
Posted by: | May 16, 2007 at 08:52 AM
Show me a consultant who has not faced fines. But you guys leave out the other political consultants that are crooks and theives. At least Rockie is not one of you. Besides, he wins lots of the races he does. You sound soooo jealous.
Posted by: | May 16, 2007 at 03:22 PM
Corcoran can issue all the statements he wants. Thr truth is he could not win, even with endorsements and money. What a crock that he did not want to hurt the Republicans chance at losing the seat. He could not win and the business community , this time, would not allow themselves to be extorted or strongarmed into supporting a losing candidate. Corcoran was acared that all his very real negatives were going to surface. I am sure that would not serve his law practice well.

.............................
I know that this may be very difficult for you to understand: I would vote for Charlie Dean. Period.
