More detail emerge in Rep. Allen arrest
Florida Today has posted a copy of Rep. Bob Allen's arrest affidavit, in which Allen allegedly entered the undercover officer's bathroom stall and said,"This is kind of a public place, isn't it?" You can view it here. (Note to readers: Some content may be objectionable)
Allen has called a 5 p.m. news conference in Titusville to address the allegations.

5pm Press Conference. I am going to rehab to stay at the same place as Mark Foley as it did wonders for him. I uh...yeah I have a drinking problem...and uh yeah some mental issues that I hope to resolve. Uhm...well I don't think I should have to resign cuz this was clearly entrapement as I would never pay $20 bucks to perfom any kind of job. Look at me, do you see how fat and disgusting I am? Yeah rehab is the place for me. Yeah I need some...uh...help.

WOW, what a read!
I've got 10-to-1 that say's he resigns at 5:00 blaming a drug, alcohol, or “forced to hide my freakiness” problem… for which he will seek immediate help at a rehab. Is this pole-smoker another self-centered, married with kids, freak?
5-to-1 says Crist will appoint Steve Stanton to finish his term.
damn… Tallytown is filled with freaks :-)~ ---8

Can you say "special election"?

With the existence of Internet "dating" sites, how stupid do you have to be to caught in a gay sex sting in a public restroom?
Posted by: Ya | July 12, 2007 at 01:05 PM
Maybe Rep. Allen will announce at 5:00 p.m. he is moving to Port Richey to be a sex slave.

The Governor cannot appoint a member of the legislature...see constitution under seperation of powers.
My prayers go out to the Allen family.

Another "blown" opportunity for the McCain campaign!

maybe the arresting officer looked like karl rove and the guy thought he had hit paydirt??
whaddu think??
are we safe in assuming this is just one more lyinghypocriticalrepiglican?
Posted by: | July 12, 2007 at 02:04 PM
The narrative by the cop is very confusing. Who is "him", and who is "he", who's giving or getting "bj", who's giving or getting money. This whole charge will be blown away.

EEWWWWWWWWWWWW
Posted by: | July 12, 2007 at 02:15 PM
Rep. Allen is giver and payer in misguided attempt to help his community.

1:03, i'll take that bet for a million dollars....see 1:39.
Posted by: | July 12, 2007 at 02:21 PM
its not merely gloating over this specific R getting caught. i imagine there are plenty of Ds participating in equally "delicate" situations.
what is amazing is that the Rs hit on this family values crap so hard and then go on as tho they are bullet proof or immune from capture or criticism.
if those folks would simply keep their noses, campaigns and laws out of other peoples business it wouldnt be a cause for "celebration" when on of them stumbles.
instead,
they lieandlieandlieandlieand...

The Governor can't appoint a replacement moron. Look at the constitution.
Posted by: | July 12, 2007 at 03:33 PM
Allen is very "hands on" with his constituents, that's all...
*bows to the crowd*
Thank you, thank you

Bite me 3:33. Look up the word sarcasm, and for heaven’s sake go get laid or something.
I also expect he’ll appoint Steve Stanton too… dipsh#t.

More good news for Team McCain from a national AP story today:
"In more bad news for McCain, a co-chair of his Florida campaign—state Rep. Bob Allen—was arrested Wednesday after offering to perform oral sex for $20 on an undercover male police officer, authorities said. Allen, 48, was seen coming in and out of a restroom three times at a park in Titusville, Fla., said police Lt. Todd Hutchinson. He then approached an undercover officer and was arrested.
Allen has been charged with solicitation for prostitution, which has a maximum penalty of one year in jail. Brevard County jail officials said Allen posted a $500 bond."

Seems all these hypocritical CONSERVATIVE Republicans are gay. Floey, the recent US (conservative family values) Senator who was on the list for the escort services. I think its time the Republican party let their women take leadership. The problem with that coming to fruition is the leadership in the Senate and some say in the house are the gay boys themselves. They will not let the Republican women move to leadership. Who is next, Fasano? Haridopolis? There are bunches of the R boys that are really gay and they are helping to take the R party down.
Posted by: | July 12, 2007 at 04:15 PM
While Haridopolis is a true lightweight, he and Fasano are smarter then Allen and Foley. They keep their parties private. You know, buy a condo, keep it private. But it will come out eventually. Post 4:15 you are right. let the R women do the job. That will free up time for the R boys to play. Maybe that will keep them out of our parks.

how does the cop go from staking out a potential burglar, to busting a guy on a vice charge?
something does not sit right about this.
Posted by: | July 12, 2007 at 04:19 PM
I saw Mike and Bob waving on the same corner during the Dean general election, I wonder what they were talking about? Maybe favorite places to "mingle" with constituents!
Posted by: | July 12, 2007 at 04:19 PM
4:15 Get real. The Repubs will never let the Repub women get the chance to be leaders. They really hate their women. I recall many anti women sentiments and down right disgusting comments about almost all of their own parties women. Now it is becomming clearer to me and many others that there is a ring of gay Republican men, who call them selves conservatives to sheild their real tendencies and preferences, that stick together and keep themselves in the power circle. There are many.
Posted by: | July 12, 2007 at 04:22 PM
4:19 read the police report. How does a "big misunderstanding" have anything merit when one enters a stall and says what he said. Gay Republican men is what it is PERIOD. Hypocrites
Posted by: | July 12, 2007 at 04:24 PM
He should take the George Michael victim defense and say it's just a part of a culture that no one undestands. At least the Times published this story in real time instead of waiting a year like the Foley molestation emails.
Posted by: | July 12, 2007 at 04:33 PM
Does anyone know where the press conference can be viewed from Tallahassee? Via Internet?
Posted by: | July 12, 2007 at 04:38 PM
Wow, the intial report i read stated that the cop was dressed like a woman. Now the cop was plain dressed. I bet he wants his equal rights now HOMO.
Hey im not defending gay rights. I just find it so hypocritical.

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENT:
[For the benefit of the personal attackers who haven't read this announcement previously]
I am no longer going to respond to anonymous posters.
Why should anyone?
They waste our time.
Unless the poster provides a sincere discussion rather than cheap personal shots and cheap rhetoric.

I agree with Paul.
Mr. Allen is innocent until proven guilty. Remember that this man gets a very good rating from the Christian Coalition.
