Services for Ralph Gonzalez

Ralph_in_japan_3 AP: Sheriff's deputies on Monday declined to release a timeline or motive in the deaths of three people, including a Republican political consultant, whose bodies were found last week.

Ralph Gonzalez, 39, his roommate, David Abrami, 36, and a friend, Robert Drake, 30 were discovered by deputies who got a worried call from a North Carolina woman looking for her boyfriend. The men were believed to have died days earlier. Authorities found weapons and signs of struggle.

"It's still under investigation," Orange County deputy Carlos Padilla said. "The autopsies were Friday, but the homicide detectives were wanting to interview more people. They try to do them as quickly as they can, but at the same time they don't want to do them so quickly they miss key points."

Gonzalez was buried Monday. A former executive director of the Georgia Republican Party, he managed U.S. Rep. Tom Feeney's 2002 campaign and was president of Strategum Group, an Orlando-based political consulting firm.

Abrami, an attorney, was also active in Republican politics.

Tax records show Gonzalez bought the east Orange County home where the three were found dead in 2005 for $150,000. Deputies responding to the scene also helped tend to two hungry, dehydrated dogs.

The fact that the police has not yet stipulated who the shooter was is getting really old. I don't mean to diminish or disrespect the dead, but it feels odd having these memorials for people without knowing if the person is a victim or a brutal killer.

I am 99.999% sure Ralph was a victim here, but how hard is it to determine who the suicide person was?

Why is this on the blog; let the families alone in their grief and not having to worry about anonymous posters getting tasteless - Adam: take this down!

It's the toughest news for any family. Unfortunately, its news. I commend the Times posters for remaining respectful.

who is this friend?

I guess Ralph had a lover?

Yeah, apparently it was a love triangle that went bad. The familes, deserve all the respect in the world. The politico's on the other hand... Allen Roosa, Scott Plakon, Tom Feeny and whole host of others are not happy. They lost one of their biggest weapons.

Was his lover hot lookin?

Who the hell knows, and what does it matter? The fact that he was gay has little to do with the personal, social or political loss felt by some folks.

Real class act "inquierer"

Call Greta, Nancy Grace and Dan Abrams. We've got the murder mystery of the year here. Where's Fox News??
