Brett Doster's new gig
Political consultant Brett Doster will head up a new Florida office for Revolution Media Group.
Doster, who helped run Tom Gallagher's gubernatorial campaign (a news release cites his work on Jeb Bush's successful runs), has been with Front Line Strategies in Tallahassee and will work with both ventures.
"Hopefully we'll do some fun commercials," Doster said. Revolution, he said, intends to work on the property tax issue, gambling and congressional races.

Brett is the man!

Like him or hate him, this looks like a good marriage for Team Doster... Judging from this Revolution Media Group web-site, it looks like Mr. Doster has joined forces with a strong vehicle to drive his grassroots strategies.

How is this news?
Posted by: | September 24, 2007 at 01:31 PM
It's news because the strongest grassroots campaigner in the state just made a move to make his organization that much stronger.

Posted by: | September 24, 2007 at 01:48 PM
I bet every one of the posts above were made by Brett Doster.
He's a tool.
Posted by: | September 24, 2007 at 01:52 PM
These are the same people that came in late in the primary campaign to do the negative spots on Charlie.
Posted by: | September 24, 2007 at 01:57 PM
Yeah a tool for change and good, something 1:52 will never understand
Posted by: | September 24, 2007 at 01:58 PM
And Charlie's poll numbers just shot up by 54 points, right 1:57? Get a grip Brett Doster can do in a day what you and 1:52 can never achieve in a lifetime. Get a life!

It just goes to show that if you're determined and tough as nails, nothing can keep you down.
Ladies and gentlemen,
Brett Doster is Back in the game.
Posted by: | September 24, 2007 at 02:04 PM
Brett Doster was never out of any game. He continues to be the top mind in grassroots campaigning in the state. He knows that, the press knows that and Charlie knows that. When have you ever seen a relationship like this make the blogs? Brett is a genius when it comes to political strategy. This is another genius move on his part...
Posted by: | September 24, 2007 at 02:09 PM
I was speaking about the firm he joined, 2:01, settle down a little. They left that part out of the press release and off the nice web site, but it is a fact and the extent of their Florida experience.
I wish Brett all the best, he is a good soul.
Posted by: | September 24, 2007 at 02:09 PM
1:52, it is amazing how punks like you love to take cheap shots on the blogs.
Jealousy is a b**ch
Posted by: Biggie | September 24, 2007 at 02:09 PM
Putting Gallagher on your press release is like putting Enron on a job resume. Just no need.

2:09, Amen Brother. Amen.

Of all the alumni from Team Bush (Jeb and George), Brett has the best statewide reach into the grassroots. He made a name for it on both presidentials. It will be interesting to see if he can turn that into success in the media world. He's got great instincts, I think he probably will.
Posted by: | September 24, 2007 at 02:27 PM
I think that Brett Doster has a keen sense on the political issues and his philosophical purity pours into his work ethic and insight. He's made the right decision.
We Support You Brett,

Brett Doster for governor in '10!!!
Posted by: | September 24, 2007 at 02:42 PM
What? Says who and How would you know if he's gonna run?
Posted by: | September 24, 2007 at 03:01 PM
Doster fans must be nole fans, all this talk about what he did in the part- forgetting currently he is on a losing streak!
Lets see- TG was supposed to win- and he took a great grassroots campaign and ran it into the ground.
Baxley was the most conservative, and he took his grass roots and ran it into the ground!
But good job brett...hopefully this works out for you

Clicked on the firm's website... seems Brett will be pushing for Erectile Disfunction in '08
All joking aside, congrats!
Posted by: | September 24, 2007 at 03:11 PM
yes, he certainly has a losing record so far..
Posted by: | September 24, 2007 at 03:11 PM
Get a real job, Pedro.
Posted by: | September 24, 2007 at 03:25 PM
3:03, Noles don't taser kids we don't like, even if they are gators. So go find some decency before you even raise yor head and try to attack a Politial Wise man Like Brett. and getting decency starts with getting your head out of your butt.
Posted by: | September 24, 2007 at 03:31 PM
3:11 - losing record? not exactly. others that would be on your list: Charlie Crist - lost his US Senate race; Allan Bense - lost his first state rep race; Brian Ballard - lost Martinez's re-election; George LeMeux - lost his own state rep race; Mac Stipanovich - couldn't get Kerry elected; Jeb Bush - lost against Chiles; Abraham Lincoln - ok hpefully you get the point.
Posted by: | September 24, 2007 at 03:32 PM
3:11, do you even have a record? 3-2 pretty good especially for a guy a s young as Brett, most guys his age are still trying to grow some cajones and be real men. Brett's been in the club since 1993. It's time you shape up and apply before its too late.
Posted by: | September 24, 2007 at 03:34 PM
Way to go Brett.. Congrats and Good luck. You are 10 rungs above most people, in or out of politics. All the best.
Posted by: | September 24, 2007 at 03:43 PM
This is quite a love fest for Brett. I'm not a big fan of his candidates, I think the party could use a little less idealism and a little more realism. Take a look at the White House and George W if you need to know what I'm talking about. But one thing should be corrected. The Baxley loss might as well have been a win for Brett. Baxley was supposed to lose by 10 or 15 points, and Brett made it very close, 2 points I think. With all due respect to Rocky, the talk around Tallahassee was that Baxley probably would have won if they had had another week to campaign.

Brett Doster... congratulations on this auspicious milestone and wishing you all the best in your future endeavors. You have my support.
